I get off work in about an hour and a half (+half hour drive home.) When I get home I'll gladly whip something up to help keep track of stuff. The only thing that I would ask is that people stay honest and put in their real anandtech and seti names so that we can kinda verify the numbers in the end. Other than that, It should be no problem at ll to get something set up for this. Can someone PM me a list of all the DC teams we have? I'm gonna go with the dropdown list method so that we can sort data easier later on.

Personally, I think my 'fleet' will be going to the folding team after this event, but that's just me. =)

I'd like to play guessing games with you but I see my cola needs a little MORe ICE so I need to go get some from the bar. Be back later.

Hmm, wonder if I can ever figure out who that guy might be?

I think there are no life ot in space sending radio messages to us. And now...
I love to support you guys [and gals] here. You are very friendly and very helpful. So, what should I do now? Should I stay on DPAD/D2OL/ZETA position, or switch temporary to help you a bit in SETI? Grr... I hate such situations........ OK, I've decided. Now Smoke [or anyone else], would you be so gentle and send me PM how to join TA in SETI and other stuff I need to know?
Hmm.. I must invent new nickname just for SETI.. D347h will never ever crunch SETI WU's !!

As to your 1st paragraph ,how would you know that no one else is sending radio messages!? ,prove it![edit](re kloostecs comment ,run it!).And no it isn't a stupid project ,because when other life is proved it will answer a major question asked by mankind for a very long time! ,if nothing else.

Re your 2nd para ,thanks for joining in ,I realise you have been giving DPAD the big push & this will hurt it a bit ,but remember it won't be for long & I for 1 promise to run DPAD on my fastest rig for at least some months after S@H1 ends.(and will continue to do so after that on a randoom basis).

Good idea for having a 'switched' list

Wiz
There's already a TA SoB team in SETI ,but yeah ,another good idea

Thanks again to all who have switched projects for TA S@H1

After reading this topic I have decided to support TeAm with to of my machines: 1,33 thunderbird and 2500+ barton. They usually participate in D2OL on "Team Norway (Norge)" but I will be glad to help you guys keeping the 6. place in SETI since we Norwegians will take the first place in D2OL soon...

OD, notice that I'm not running under my nick, but my real name.. Or, I uset to crunch, now I joined someone bigger, but there is guessing so I can't tell you who

@Smoke
Mori aka ICE will never ever crunch SETI He is(was) normal

@Assim1
And how you know someone is sending them? As I heard SETI is only crunching signals on chosen Ghz, how you know their sendind it on that? /I need a word for that, just nothing come to my minds/..
Big push? No, but sending something - yes...
OK, I will remember your promise !!

@brage
Someone beating us in D2OL? With GeoffS, CT & BunMaster in TeAm? With many others real crunchers I can't now mention? It's more likely Poland becoming world leader than this !!

So, as I'm so called 'SETI is wicked' club president, I will adress these words to all of you:
SETI is wicked, but crunch on if you like it (but better only now, then switch ASAP to other DCs ).
My WU is on 15% or what, but I needed to turn it off as I'm burning some movies on CDs.

Quick question to everyone, on that same note...

I think I have come up with a way to roughly measure the amount of CPU power being donated by each user. Now, when I say rough, I really do mean rough. Here's the idea...

Each user that is coming over to help us from another team would simply register on the site, and enter in the date of when they first switched over, or just accept the current date as the 'start' date. They would also list how many CPU's they have that are working 24/7. Each CPU that runs for 24 hours == 1. If they run fewer hours, like half a day, then .5, etc. This total number would be stored, along with the user's start date in the database, along with the team from which they came to us. There will be a stats page that will run through the user list, and based on the start date, and the current date, would calculate how many 'CPU/Days' have been donated from each team (each user as well... as soon as i can get it coded)

I know this isn't the most accurate way to do things, but I think it'll give us all a ballpark figure of how much we need to give back at the end of the project. In the end, we could either fly with the numbers that the site gives, or add in some kinda buffer, like maybe 10% to make sure that nothing is being shorted.

Since most of us tend to have fairly up to date machines, I think it'll work out pretty well. Anyway, that's my feeble idea, and i'm certainly open to suggestions. =)

Excuse me, Thoreau, but I find your idea useless.. Let's say our DPAD team donated 10 CPU's 24/7 == 10 points, right? So what, you when SETI ends will add only 10 CPU's to us? That's stupid, really..

It is very boring listening you all talking only about how many each DC add to SETI.. I'm crunching ZETA/ChessBrain/D2OL/DPAD - which project will you be in to repay what have I done? :/

Wouldn't it be better if we just supp. you guys now, and after SETI you will look for your project, don't watching on how many each of them add to SETI? Join DC you like, not that, which supported SETI!

Why put effors in creating another stats page, it's better to create accurate and updated project list!! It will be very good for all of us looking for new projects to join!

PS. 31.9% WU done. 5:01 hours left Total: 7:22.

Yes D347H, you're now saying (again... ) that your participating in that many projects.. Well, that's very nice.
Ofcourse, every wu does count, but I'm wondering how many machines do you use for DC? Not very many I think..
So if I were you, I'd focus on one, or maybe two, projects instead of ALL the projects which you are trying now..
It could be your age, but looking at your previous posts, it looks like your doing this for many years
When looking at your DPAD production and your nice stats thread, I'd say, lets go for that project!
Averaging ~one candidate/day (for D2OL) isn't that many
I do like to see you doing some Seti, but could you please dimm a little on your vocal output?
Again, I think DPAD is your project...

Thanks, Freewolf! Glad to help! Come one D347h, you have to admit thats it's a bit more likely than that?! It's a small country all right, but we have been in the lead on "weekly production" for the last months, and plan to keep it that way
