If I'm saying it again, I'm sorry... But what angry me is you all wanting to count how many we help you.. To what? To check you won't repay too much ?!

As to my PCs - in fact I have only one [and now you are going to say I said it many times before].

Excuse me, but doing what for years?

At D2OL I could average many more, if I crunch it everyday, it would be at least 5! But now, because of Smoke's post, I'm focusing on SETI [runned DPAD for a short time to fill and flush results.txt file]. If there will be race, I wuold crunch only D2OL for some time!

Focusing on one DC - I find it boring, really. I want to check 'em all, to see how they act with my PC, and because there is no one DC which will beideal for me in 100% [CB used to be - but now, with so many crushes ].

Also, sometimes there are DCs, in which TA teAm needs help, and no-one is going to do anything - just because thinking in similar way to yours!

but could you please dimm a little on your vocal output?
Could you said it once again in easier words? I'm not so good at english.

Oh, I forgot to add it earlier, I aslo used to crunch UD [try to find moriakaice in Team Wanderlust].

And don't say both: "Focus on one DC" & "Every WU counts" !

Forget it when we start up our mini-Race - then you should feel real TA D2OL power! But you're gonna be #2, that's great!

It is very boring listening you all talking only about how many each DC add to SETI.. I'm crunching ZETA/ChessBrain/D2OL/DPAD - which project will you be in to repay what have I done? :/

Wouldn't it be better if we just supp. you guys now, and after SETI you will look for your project, don't watching on how many each of them add to SETI? Join DC you like, not that, which supported SETI!

Why put effors in creating another stats page, it's better to create accurate and updated project list!! It will be very good for all of us looking for new projects to join!

PS. 31.9% WU done. 5:01 hours left Total: 7:22.

I think what we are trying to do is make sure that the projects that are helping us out, do not get left out when we start moving our power from seti to the other projects. I do not think that we are going to give 1CPU per 1 CPU in equal parts, we just need to know who helped and where to point ourselves when the time comes. I know that I can't just look for another project to do when this is over because Seti is the one I chose and the one I prefer. So it will be pointless to me to look for another that peaks my interest, I will need to look at who helped and who needs help. That is all we are trying to do. I think it would be very bad if someone from ZETA or Chessbrain donated some time to us, and then no one knew and never gave back. I know that I would get upset if that happened.

I do not think this is the case. I think it is nore of a way for us to divide our power amongst the ones that helped so no one get's "ripped off".

You're right to say that it's a little bit useless to figure out exactly how many hours someone participated in Seti so the Seti members can return that to let's say, the DPAD team..
You're also right that it's boring to do just one project. I'm also active in three projects. Only Seti is just to help out our team mates
UD is my project and I will run that for as long as the project goes. I like D2OL also very much and am rather active at that one as well (did 180+ candidates yesterday..)

Reffering to your 'vocal output'.. Well, your only here for about 2 months.. And calling someones ideas 'useless and stupid' to some other members ideas, well.. I don't think much people would appreciate that..
Ah were in the same team, so we shouldn't argue about that, should we, team mate?
By the way, I'm also not that good at this language cause I'm a fellow european...

Well, I've been thinking about what will happen when this phase of SETI is over and some of you guys probably switch to D2OL. I will probably live quite happily with second place, but we will give you some competition (I hope). But the real winner are hopefully people with malaria etc...

D347h is the MAN!!!

It's great wanting to pay back the other DC projects helping out.

Another idea maybe, why not discuss and agree on DC projects where TA needs help and give those TeAms a boost, maybe some of the new members will stay on...

Lets help each other and try and make TA the best overall TeAm in the world with DC.

TA...lets RULE the DC world!!!

WOW. The path this is taking is starting to get a little weird.

I'm not really sure how to respond to this. Other than to say that there are a lot of people here that do not know about all of the other DCPs that are out there. This will give some people an idea where to start looking. To imply that I don?t want to "repay to much" !!!! A four letter word followed by a three letter word should be included here but I digress.

I for one want to know if I need to move one or more of the 90+ PCs I have to a DCP that I havent heard of, and isnt being "rewarded" for there help with SETI1. You know of a better way for me to find that info out?
Im all ears.

guys guys guys...we are all one big happy team in the end!!!

Everyone may crunch whatever he or she or it (? ) may desire with their own systems as long as no one belittles..i too when i first came here a year? ago (well actually registred..been reading for much longer) i was like.."wtf is Seti@home" and now i'm a part of Taboo helping ppl attain their milestones! so each to their own i now say , hehe.

I personally believe that the project list needs to be seriously revamped and would gladly step up to aid in the projects i have been and am active in...
Like i could write up some nice information about Dpad and SOB b/c i know those well. I've run seti but i am no master at it and i just do what coolkid tells me with Chessbrain

The debt repayment is nice but i think some ppl are too focused one " x amount of time w/ x cpus on x project"...this shoudl just be fluid. SOB team gives, the seti ppl give back for as long as they think the debt has been repaid...know what i mean?

Personally i think the projects list needs to be reworked and updated and that would help out in this endeavor more than anything!

Yeah, having been here a while let me fill you in on "how it works".

The group being helped wants to be sure to help out those who gave time & resources, and at least so far it hasn't been on a 1 to 1 basis, but repayment has always been far more than what was originally given. Take DanC for instance, he came and put way more than double time back into seti after seti people helped out in "his" time of need.

We just want to reward everyone who helps us now with way more than 1 to 1 for their projects later, but to do that we have to know where to spend our cycles - some record needs to be kept.

And people tell me that *I'm* a pessimist. In case your outlook prevents you from seeing reality, it is so that we don't UNDER pay. Ever think that it is so that we make 100% sure that other teams get back what they gave us, and then some? Not everyone stops at the minimum ya know.

Edit: Anyway, Adul is taking his time (supposedly doing "work" while at work) getting a few other bits coded that are outside of my limited php capabilities. Hopefully we will have something that is NetWorthy up soon.

Never too early (or late) for new friends, good scotch, more WUs, and a little payback for past favors.

As I see it , a good number of S@H TeAm mates won't go for S@H2 , I know all my fleet is going to another project after S@H1
ends. I will not go the BOINC seti route until there is a SetiQ equivalence, and from what i've been reading there won't be one.
because everything will have to go through boinc servers.

So for those worrying (spelling?) that their projects won't get back what they lost AND even more, I think it's not an issue!!
So let's all the geat DCers working on this one objective and then we'll ALL benefit from this great big coming together!!!

Let's show them WHO has the best TeAm of all!!!!

More...More...More... in 04!!

Thank you for that correction, Eugene.

I work from multiple computers and have different sets of "handy" links all over the place. That particular one was not changed ... now it is.

This is more like it.

Smoke & SNC - My paltry sum of WUs is now TeAm AnandTech's. I'm only cranking around 40 a day just now, but as my other little darlings complete their respective assignments I will add them to the SETI fray for as long as it lasts.

Glad to be here.

40 or 4 a day. Glade to have you aboard. From what DCP do you hail from?
