Adding
AthlonXP 1900+
P4 2.4C x2
to the TeAm

...and I thought I could escape distributed computing.

Are they all running off the same motherboard? If so you can ghost them to save time and get them crunching! :clock:

Hi everyone...

Does anyone have any idea, how much the daily/weekly number of WU's have inceased, since this thread called to arms. I know I have contributed with app. 100 WU's, which ain't much, but if 1000 new/returning members do this it matters of course.

Does anyone have daily/weekly WU stats for the team going back for example a month. Could be interesting to see the increase since this thread started. If anyone have these stats/numbers, you may send them to me and I could look at it. If it does not allready exist.....

MechEng, good question.

We have had some substantial departures over the last week as well as some great new arrivals which makes it very difficult to measure the precise increase in production.

The following is a graphical representation of the last 30 days. As you can see it has been very volatile. :Q

TeAm vs BBR

I have a spreadsheet that I update at various times throughout the day. I'll post below a portion of that spreadsheet starting with the point of our largest lead on December 30, 2003. If it looks too bad I'll do a little editing to improve the appearance ... but no promises on the way it looks in this format.

Smoke (not the moderator, the other one )

With all the TeAm SteAm this outfit has the future looks bright ahead. I fail to see how we can fail to not fail. Is that clear?

Anyone have any Tandy 1000 parts? I'll drag that puppy out and light it off. Uh, anyone have any matches?

Did BBR recruit another team?

Little slow on the uptake here apparently. Am I to understand that teams are now combining/merging in order to "unseat" teams of long-high-standing merely to assure themselves a better final position in SETI? If so, how pathetic!

Perhaps UCB... Ah, forget it. Integrity is something you have, or don't.

But that's just this newby's point of view.

When looking at the slope of the graph, it does not look like there have been any
significant increase in the daily contribution of WU's, but graphs can be very
deceiving....

Regarding the numbers I'm not sure I understand them correctly. Are they the daily
difference between Team Anandtech and BBR or.....?

The numbers that could be interesting would be the actual number of workunits delivered
per day from the team over the last couple of weeks. If one makes a graph with those
numbers one would be able to see if there is an increase/decrease in the number of
units/day.
Can I find these numbers somewhere ... Link..., or do you have them ?

Well, I really should get to bed now.... Have to go to work in about 5 hours...

Keep up the good work and spirit everyone

Bless you my M4H TeAm mate. Check's in the mail.

I get a check? :Q

- M4H

Yep. And there are babes in a hot tub with cold beer here somewhere. You just have to keep looking for them.
Every WU you turn in you get a hint as to where they are. So the more WUs you do the better chance of finding them. So go and tell all your friends. You never know they might be the ones to find them and share with you for turning them on to the TeAm.

Let it be known beyond a reasonable doubt that BroadBandReports Team Starfire has not nor will we at any time in the future recruit smaller teams to merge with us. For the past year and a half or two this rivalry has been between us and only us. To change that now would be to throw it and all the friendships formed because of it into the sewer. That is not our desire and I know beyond any doubt whatsoever that it is not the desire of Team AnandTech either.

Here Here!!!! Well spoken!!!! I for one am glad we both feel this way.
Keep in mind that there may be teams that "want" to join with out being recruited.
Nothing that can be done about that. Hope it doesnt happen just for the reason of pushing one team over another.
Heres to a wonderfull friendly fight to the end!!!

TeAm AnandTech vs Broadband Reports Team Starfire

That link to the S@N Stats Page has two graphs. The top one is a line graph for the last 30 days. Notice the number on the right hand border - that's the total WUs crunched by our respective teams. The bottom bar graph is a daily representation of the WUs crunched by TeAm AnandTech and BBR. Just squint your eyes a little bit and it all will become clear. lol

Now for an attempt to clarify the meaning of the numbers taken from my spreadsheet.

42,118 WUs (TeAm - BBR) 01/08/2004 13:40 Members (TeAm - BBR) -108
44,247 WUs (TeAm - BBR) 01/08/2004 08:05 Members (TeAm - BBR) -107

The first number (a column in my spreadsheet) is the "difference" in total WUs between TeAm and BBR. The middle portion is the time stamp (Date and Time). The right hand number (column in my spreadsheet) is the difference in total membership between TeAm AnandTech and BBR. At 13:40 GMT today they had 108 more members than us.

Hope this helps.
