Well.... Not as nice as I'd like it to be.
Looks like there are no drivers for the VIA 8237 Southbridge SATA raid controller.
Kinda sucks. I am installing the 32 bit version now.
Here is a perfect example of why M$ needs to get on teh ball with win64.
I had ordered a 3200XP 32bit. When I saw on anandtechs front page the link to the 64 demo I changed my order to the 64 3200. Now I cant use it

I have it crunching now with the 32bit win.
I really would like to keep the Raptors.
After a couple WUs I will install on a standard and see if there is a difference.

Hey thanks. I tried, no good. I am on it right now in win64, I installed it on a standard IDE drive.
I cant tell if it is the OS or the RAID0 Raptors that make the difference but it is slower than win32 on the raptors.
There are no drivers for the onboard gig NIC and the sound card is a little off. I was able to, get this, install a D-Link DFE-530TX NIC. A POS like that has drivers built in that work. I am just going to see what the SETI times are and go back to 32bit. Just by looking at the length of time it has taken, it should take about twice as long as it did on win32.

Not ready for prime time yet.

The 4in1s work after the OS is installed. But I need the drivers during setup. All of the drivers I found would give me a viasraid.sys crrupt. I tried pulling from the 64bit 4in1s but the same thing. The times for SETI are about half as fast as under 32 bit, so I will just leave it there. 7 WUs avarage 1:52 Total cost 1000.00 +/-
I am thinking that I will have to seperate the Raptors. The heat is unreal.

Just finished at 2:12 with a .430 ar, not to bad. Thats playing around with it and 31 processe's going, gotta turn some things off
I paid 1,349 so it's a pretty good deal. A lot of guy's are overclocking these to 2 Gig with a program called clockgen, ill have to give it a try. should get times down to 2 hours, maybe less
