Added a new dual Opteron 246/2Ghz (24/7) to the mix (~40WU/day) and my little laptop (T40p, P-M 1.6; 24/7) is churning 10WU/day.

Just started 4 days ago and aiming to break into TeArn's 1XXX ranks by Sunday night. I know that some are hesitant to get into SETI so late in the game since it's hard to play with the old timers and their fleets that have been running SETI for so long... but there are still some small victories

Thanks amdxborg !! I'm doing better than I imagined and hope its a help.

I'll keep that in mind about the OC'ing Smoke ! hehe. I actually have to up the voltage just a hair to be stable at 2.3Ghz and even more at 2.4. I like stock voltages so I won't be overclocking much as you can see. Thanks for the warning !

My system will be due for a format soon so the GHOST is a good idea. Not much I need on here tho and will probably empty my SETI cache before the wipeout.

The dual Opteron 246 is a blazer... sad part is that I had to bring it down most of Saturday for some testing (I'm still fine tuning it before going truly 24/7) It's back up now while I catch some sleep. Unless I'm reading things wrong, I should have the system at a constant 2WU/1hr15min . My little lappie pales in comparison (but it's tested through and through and never stops)

Anyone know if the 64bit CLI for x86/Linux is faster or more efficient? I'm going to try it later today if it's faster than running the CLI WinNT client with processor affinity on (2 processes to use both processors.) I also don't know if there's a good way to manage a WU cache in Linux.

Should be in the TeArn 1XXX ranks 12hrs before my original goal.. now the hard part to take on the top dogs and break into the <1000 ranks!!
