Hello,
First off i would like to thank everyone for the kind words and encouragement. Things are tough, but we have a large support group around us, and they are helping us get through this tough time.
We laid Austin to rest Sunday afternoon. It was a very emotional time for everyone. We do feel that it brought some closure to the events of the last few days, but Austin will always be here in our hearts and minds forever!
We got to spend almost 21 hours with him in our arms. I know some might find that morbid, but we wanted to hold him as long as we could until Kim was released from the hospital. He was 21' long and was 7lbs 4oz.
They performed an autopsy on him and it concluded that there was nothing to indicate why this must have happened. The doctor said he might have pinched his cord just long enough to cut off his oxygen.
He was in perfect condition, a beautiful little baby. He looked like his daddy, but he had his moms nose. I'm no lady killer, but i think the girls would've been flocking to him someday.
Me and Kim are gone to get ourselves back in to a good emotional state then we are going to try to have a little sister or brother for Austin. This will not detour us from trying again. I just hope my boys stop quicker and ask for direction this time.
I want to ask you all to please cherish every moment you have with your children or spouces or family and friends. Those 21 hours we had holding Austion, we will cherish forever.
Curtis
