K1052 is right as from what I see. Usually at least I'd say half of the women in a public place won't do little courtesies like holding a door. But it's also regional, according to a Reader's Digest "study".

I thought when people say "from the south" they typically mean the southeast.. GA, AL, MS.. etc

SC is in the south. I consider the to be LA, MS, AL, TN, GA, SC, NC, AK. If South Carolina isn't considered part of the south, where exactly would you put it?

Wendy's burger was pretty nasty though wasn't it?

There's been a commercial on TV lately for some online dating site. One of the women in the commercial (it shows failed first dates) says something like "I'm a princess, and I deserve to be treated like one!"

It seems very hard to find a woman these days who doesn't think like that, unfortunately.

Now, she ordered her double frap half caf no sugar soy latte and waited for it, then i ordered my items as well. Her coffee and my stuff came up at about the same time and i was literally ONE step behind her as we walked out the door. She saw how much i was carrying, yet she pushed open the door and let it slam in my face as she walked out.
That irks me more than anything. She was a total bitch, just concerned about herself.

This is what I have noticed: Most women are B!TCHES. It is true. They are horrible and inconsiderate.
Why is this? is it the way were are programed? Has soceity taught us that we are supposed to be better than everyone else... other women included?

Because this annoys me so much, I have made it a point to be the exact opposite as this witch of a woman was today.

Has anyone else every noticed that most women are like this?

PS... I do not feel horrible at all that i am ragging on "my own kind".

Most men figure it out by their early 20's. If it weren't for our hormones, most of us wouldn't associate with women. We all hope to find that rare exception (or the woman that actually fools us well enough for us to believe she is an exception.)

Jack Nicholson's character said it well in As Good As It Gets.

Woman: "how do you write women so well in your books?"
Jack: "Simple. I think of a man then I take away reason and accountability."

I held a door for a man just this morning. I'm not (usually) a bitch. I'm that person that forces you to smile by smiling at you as we cross paths in the grocery store.

From my own personal experience, (most) women seem to think the world revolves around them. Of course, many horny males that want to boink them and would do anything and everything to do that doesn't help..

Very true!

I once had a friend, who while working as a store clerk, offered to help a woman with her purchases out to her car. She gave him a mean look, said she didn't need help because she was a "ninety's woman" and stormed out. He said he didn't know what that meant, but he sure wasn't going to argue with it!

Friend's uncle ran into a woman at the post office as she was coming out the door, and her purse dropped and spilled its contents all over. He was very apologetic, and gathered up as many items as he could hold to help put them back into her purse. She started yelling at him about how she didn't need any man to help her, she was more than capable of handling the mess herself. So he said, "Fine." Dropped everything on the floor again, and left.

I'll admit that I've used (and maybe still use ) online dating and you do see that on those websites. Those are the profiles I close instantly. Sorry, but I will not treat you like a princess, because that'd make me the "king" and incest is bad (unless you're Asian, according to ATOT ).

... but in all seriousness, it's a horrible attitude to take. It almost screams that you expect to be thrusted above your partner in some grandiose Paris Hilton-esque manner. One way streets were soooo last century!

So Lola, what are we "men" supposed to do with this women issue?

Women want more rights, custody of kids after divorces, basically control the bedroom issue....

what will men be 50 years from now?

I'm all for letting women go first but the other day this woman irked me. I had to stand up for 30mins on an over crowded train (usual for peak travel) and this woman 'expected' to go first when she was sitting down nicely for the 30min trip, whilst I stand up near the near for 30mins! wtf was that about? She nearly barged in to me, as she wanted to go first. I had to stand up for 30minutes and I'm standing 1m opposite the exit door! Bitch!

When I have a seat I make sure the people standing by the exit go out first. It's the least I can do as I got a seat. I help people take heavy bags across the platforms when I see them

I really don't know because i am still trying to figure it out myself. I always hope and try to think positive that there is good in everyone, it just takes longer for some than others to have that good come out.

As for men in 50 years... with the way things are going... they won't be needed for anything and women will procreate with test tube sperm? who knows. there will always be women who like and want the companionship and love of a man... others think that no man is good enough for them and they will spend their entire lives looking for him only to find they end up lonely.

I know it is wrong to make broad generalizations on both men and women. I should stop.

Imagine a place where the men refer to the metrosexuals of the 2000 era as "the classic older tough guys. when men were tough".

:shudder:

Me too, just to make sure I time it perfectly so the door slams in their face just as they get to it.
