I remember I was once hanging out with my friend (we were both 16-17) and some guy was trying to sell us stuffed toys on the street. He looked at my friend and said, "It's a great price and your kids will love it."

At least you are not that guy.

14 maybe 15?

Having a baby face is a plus man. Just wait when you are 40 and look 25. The ladies won't think you are a gross old fart.

Wear a shirt with a funny saying. That will take the focus off your looks.

either embrace it and joke along with them, realizing that looking young will really pay off when you're 30-40 and some of your peers are looking like a younger-merely-semi-diabetic Wilford Brimley, or

shave the crown of your head bald, gain 40 pounds, and flaunt the 44 inch waist Dockers

I'm 48 and I look not a day over 18. Being 5'5" with no facial hair doesn't hurt either. I pretty much look like a sunday school boy. I've accepted the fact that I will be treated like a kid based on first impressions because I look like one. It pisses me off. I see 15 year olds that are 6'1" that look more mature than I do.

I guess it all pays off in the end when everyone else looks ready to die I will look like I'm only 40 and still chasing milfs.

I guess people don't treat people as adults unless they are bolding I also look like i'm about 17 and I'm 21.

My theory is that computer ppl like me and you guys look younger because the sun doesn't damage skin as much, because we mostly sit indoors. Or maybe it's genetics, my older sister who is 25 is often mistaken for 18yr old.

I suppose that would get annoying. Something that has irritated me for years is the occasional "Look you have gray hair!". Yes, thanks, I'm 30 and I've had it since I was 17 and nobody has fvcking mentioned that to me, how observant you are! It actually doesn't bother me much (if my hair goes I'll shave it, fvck you hair!), but the revelation-like "OMG, you have gray hair!" just because I'm not 50 is not a piece of news I was unaware of. I do look in the mirror once in a blue moon.
Have you considered firing off an email to HR about this issue? It sounds like
some folks at work need to be reminded that such comments aren't ok?
This one is societal. I doubt he feels traumatized by it enough to take action besides ATOT, and it's not like everybody else doesn't do it (which they do!). Just gotta live with it, I guess

Same boat. That didn't get old 15 years ago or anything. :|

I've gotten the same. It's even worse if I am clean-shaven, I look like a fuckin junior high grom. Hence, I like to wear stubble when I can (gotta be shaven for work during the week though).

This past summer I was at Wal-Mart helping my mom with shopping and the cashier lady said I looked 14 (I was 24 at the time, 25 nao). Well shit. I am thin though, and regular height (5'8" or 9").

I get that all the time. I'm 22 and I still get carded for movies/video games/etc. Sucks ass when I'm the only one that gets carded out of all my friends, too. It's like they think my friends are trying to smuggle me into a damn rated R movie. Just cause I didn't get a huge gut and grow a beard I will be shunned for awhile yet. One of my teachers awhile ago told me I have "baby face syndrome".

You just have to wait until you are older. Everyone else will look old while you will still look young. Take that all you old looking people.

Maybe there's more to it than just your looks. Maybe you have a high voice that makes you sound like your nuts haven't dropped yet. That's always a possibility. Or maybe you have an immature demeanor as in you don't present yourself as a confident older person. Maybe you shake hands like a little pussy or whine on ATOT like a little bitch about pointless shit. Maybe its things like your name - Tizyler, which sounds like something 12 year old would call themselves, gives it away. Hell, do you use Tyler as your name? I'd work on a nick name, something a little more masculine like Magnus Sameulson or something.

Cliff's - Stop being a little bitch and people will think you're older.

See? Tizyler are you taking notes here bro? About 25 when I'm really 24. Granted, not much, but its a lot better then 12 when you are your age man.

Just get over it. People think you look young, so what. Just be happy with the fact that you're going to probably look better than them once you're a bit older.

Oh, and get a different haircut/don't use the thumbs up thing. Try to get something a bit "older" with the hair if you want to look that way. There's nothing wrong with your hair now, it just makes you appear to be younger (you know, 12).

I'm growing it out (again).

Just advising on how to appear older so you don't have to endure years of torture

I appreciate it

Not a problem. Let us know if any of our suggestions are used and if you're ever able to grow some facial hair.

Being young looking isn't always a bad thing though, sometimes it can be a bit endearing as opposed to a haggard old man.

Yeah, I realize that. The thing that bugs me is that people just throw it out like its no big deal at all, then just laugh. I usually just play it off with, "ahh, yeah, well, I hear it will payoff in the long run". For whatever reason it just really irked me this afternoon.

I dyed my hair last summer, I'm a natural blonde and I went brunette. Everyone was like "Heey went back to your natural hair color I see!" and I have yet to convince them that no, I'm actually blonde and have been forever. So apparently I don't look natural or something. I guess blonde hair and brown eyes = wrong. A lot of people say I look better with brown hair which kind of sucks because I don't want to dye it constantly. Oh well. Either way, you've just gotta be happy with yourself and take whatever people say with a grain of salt. In the end, it doesn't really matter.

If you want to embarrass them, respond with "Ouch. That wasn't a very nice thing to say." and frown at her. She'll probably squirm.

If you want to get fired or slapped, respond with "I should probably check to make sure you really work for <company name>, you look like you're old enough to be retired."

I occasionally got the "you look like you're 14" up until I was 25 or so.

When I was 15, I looked like I was 18-21. Now that I'm 24, I still look like I'm 18-21. It's like I've been in some sort of cryosleep for the past 9 years. It's not as bad as looking 12 though, sorry dude.

Or just say "If I thought you were 10lbs over weight would it be appropriate to just blurt it out?".

Close, just be like "I think your 10lbs over weight but you don't see me telling you that to your face... I save it from water cooler talk..." just to get the point across.

You should start smoking, that will make you look older. All the cool kids are doing it anyways.
