That was quite a different week than usual

It starts off with more apologies being posted than ever before.

A couple of DPC members practice the art of trolling on ths forum - hopefully they will take it over to theirs

Russ and the DPC have a little tiff (although I thought you needed permission to use someone's name on the net - so Russ has a right to be pi$$ed)

Paulson starts practicing a new hobby and true to form, is getting better at it - ie. his help page.

The gamebox draws ever closer - as does www.teamanandtech.com: the rebirth. (now where is that Win2K server CD... )

And we finally get a logo/link placed on the Anandtech website, which is more enticing than just having RC5 on the title bar, and Anand seems to be taking more interest in TA.

Better than average.

Yes, an unusual week indeed. Can't even post in fun on the DPC board without being flamed...http://gathering.tweakers.net/Forum3/HTML/001833.html...Please don't remind me that I should not even jokingly post at their forum, as I now know this very well. I will not post there anymore... I enjoy the competition between the teams and even the mini-teams....I wish everybody did..

Something to think about...

Update: In light of Onno's information and a little time to settle, things are a little better. I've had the flu for 4 days now and I really am just tying to heal through laughter, since medication doesn't seem to be working. Again, I have no intention of *Flaming* anybody, and hope not to catch any in the reverse direction. I really enjoy RC5 (too much!) and would wish everyone to enjoy it responsibly (sorta sounds like an alcohol commercial, eh?)

Well, I don't know what the saying involving the goose and gander is, but it seems like every time DPC posts here jokingly, they get flamed...

Anyway, if you want to read the Dutch being posted there, try copying it out and pasting it into http://www.intertran.net. Then it's in English but, of course, you still have to decypher it.

My posture may change on posting there as I enjoyed all but that one...I'll give it time to clear out and we'll see..

You try to do something meaning well, and sometimes it just takes on a life of it's own.

It has been a different kind of week, for sure. Seems like a lot of us are pumped up (or heated up) for one reason or another. how about we put that energy to good use and focus on recruiting/assimilating for Team Anandtech!

And I am very glad that Anand put the Team Anandtech logo on the front. Even though I only crack RC5, I certainly support the other projects in spirit!

Engineer, jfyi, the person named XeNoPhiLE started as most replyers on your post thought a flame towards you. Then a lot of people responded to him that he shouldn't have said all that and he replyed with that they understood him wrong and a lot of cursing. Then there was a flamewar going over and back with XeNoPhiLE and other DPC forum members.

So don't worry that all this flaming was all your fault, not at all, and I don't like the fact that because of all this you removed your post I can't read it anymore. So what I want to make clear is that it was not your fault and that we would like to see you post some more on our board if you feal like it again. And the fact that I closed the post was also because of the flamewar and not because of what you said.

Ray, you hit the nail on the head as usual, lets get rid of all this anger and get back to the positive, easy-going folks we are known for. Let the flack slide off, be creative and find positive feedback to express! We have to get rid of the tension, it continues to erode us

The DPC is welcome here too eNeRGy! We know sometimes things get bent out of shape and we have our days too! I'm sure with MF6 tensions at both camps are up.

Ah, just one other thing, that would be use of a full name, not just a common one. I actually found that very motivating, made me want to go out and try to prove them wrong--and I'm not even Russ! I'm sure it was meant as a good natured poke and am sad to think we are so stressed to feel otherwise. We better do something about that!
