Well done petrus, on dividing us into teams. And BOTH sides are turning up the heat (hardware) at nearly an even pace as well. Very close race, as is the race with Brony (until the CPU work gets counted), very exciting!

BTW, a week ago I tried to set up BOINC to pause if there is x % non-BOINC work running, with the goal that BOINC crunches WCG everytime FAHclient doesn't receive work. Didn't work as intended, as BOINC still ran even if FAHClient had CPU work too. More research needed.

If CPU FAH units have a distinct executable, then you can blacklist it via Exclusive Applications in BOINC

I had some CPU cores folding, but they've been going idle, unable to connect to the work sever.

Check to make sure there are an even number of cores for the cpu slot. FAH doesn't seem to like prime numbers so will often quit when confronted with 5s and 7s...................

Thanks for the advice. Odd that the client has self configured 2 prime numbers of cores on two different machines. They were working that way, but the logs indicate timeouts connecting to the server. Anyway, I have deleted and re-added the slots with even numbers, I know they can be edited, but re-adding is a quick and dirty way of re-trying the network connection. In my case, no joy.

I saw mention of issues with 32-bit clients on the Folding forum. Did you upgrade to 64-bit yet?

~46.3M points last 24 hours! (and climbing!)

Last year's peak(?) when racing Tom's Hardware:
They are climbing also, went from 49 million to 43 million in the last couple of days (last 24 hour numbers)

So keep up the heat team !

Something tells me the CPU work just came in. I just got 223,500 points for 59 WUs!

Yes, Brony@Home got some 140M points ...
Nice to know that the issue is resolved ... and that we have an uphill struggle.
We just have to produce some more points ...

It's a relieve that the guesswork is over. Or almost over:

I still can't reach 155.247.166.219 but 155.247.166.220 is now communicating on port 8080 again (but not on port 80). There still are a few things that need cleaning up, but any progress that has been made is a good thing.

I.e. there still could be credit missing, but I hope not.

Note that this large credit update includes credit that should have been granted already before our race began. But I have no idea whether there could be a way to determine which part is from before the race.

I'm getting just a bit of CPU work, how about you guys? Given up on CPU?
Right now, http://fah-web.stanford.edu/pybeta/serverstat.html shows two SMP-work servers responding, but both having 0 work available. (Hmm, OTOH all GPU-work servers show 0s too. This status page is mysterious.)

I only ran CPUs for a few days because my 2nd GPU host build was somewhat delayed. Considering the enormous gap in PPD/Watt between GPUs and CPUs (even with the above-average CPUs that I have, if I may say so), and now that I have narrowed the gap in my DC equipment between CPUs and GPUs, I will no longer run GPU-centric projects on CPU.

I do have almost all CPUs that I can get my hands on at WCG though, and with WCG and F@H combined am consuming more electricity than I need to heat my apartment. (Regular heating is turned off entirely. Outside temperatures remain above freezing point for the rest of the week. Next week there is supposed to be night frost at least.)

BTW, regarding F@H CPU work availability: In our 2016 December race, I initially ran CPU work on two dual-socket PCs, and no GPU work at all. But at some point in the middle of the race, the well scaling 0xa7 WUs became unavailable, and merely 0xa4 WUs which scaled only up to 24 threads remained, giving much lower early-return bonus. My PPD tanked at that point, I bought two Pascal GPUs, and suddenly I produced a lot more points at a lot lower energy use. 0xa7 WUs became available again many weeks later.

Here are the stats for the 12th day of the 12th Folding@Home Holiday Season Race
Stats are as of December 12, 2017, 20:15 UTC (approx).
The inter-team race stats are from the Folding@Home stats page.
The intra-team race stats are from EOC.com.

The inter-team race:

In this table it is clearly visible: Brony@home has obtained the credits which were missing. Now the difference is 86M point in Brony@home 's favour. Well folded!

The big jump in the points in the graph will be visible tomorrow ...

The intra-team race:

Congrats to StefanR5R! Your CPU-point have been added! Your production during this race has jumped by 10M points!

The intra-team race daily production:

The intra-team race individual daily production:

Still: the difference in points could have been much bigger: Brony@Home got more than 120M points added. but StefanR5R's points and our lead by more than 25M points made the gap less. Now: let us fold even more ... each point counts.
We need to recruit more folder (i.e. those who do not fold at all, those folding but not taking part in the intra-team race already contribute to the inter-team race!

Thanks. Not bad, given that these points come from just 4 clients, running for less than a week at F@H.

Edit: I.e. my 4 clients compare very well to these 100 clients, to pick a semi-random point of comparison.

Edit 2:
I like your spirit! At worst perhaps we can demonstrate how to lose gracefully...
We should strive for Silver, or better.

Wow. That sure changes the complexion of the race.

I just looked at the FAH team stats pages for our two teams and they are credited with 600 cpu's and us with 7............ not sure how to interpret that.

Losing gracefully means doing our best. And most certainly we will do that.
I am considering to add my CPUs to the fray - it means to move them from WCG to F@H, but OTOH: this is the 12th Annual Folding@Home Holiday Season Race.
I tried to do that, and got "empty work server assignment."
