They gave up already. Or maybe they are programming a virus to install and run the folding@home software. Actually, why is this not a thing?

Well, not me. I just finished my first linix install and got 10% improvement. If I do that to my farm, that 1.2 million ppd. And I have heard other rumors... The little brown truck is coming to a few houses this month.

Edit went from 910k to 1.2 million !

....and a totally rewritten script of a Star Wars movie... lol!
Hey! I just realized how to neutralize Nekolepsy!

1. Find Nekolepsy's boss.
2. Tell Nekolepsy's boss that he can get money for doing the same work, if his machines fold for the CureCoin team.

That's gotta be the real dark side, or at least a path to it. (The love of money and all that.) It even tempts me!

Or we can all get pissed off, and buy one 1080TI card each ! Then we will have no problems !

I just got 2 1070TI cards that I can't afford due to my cancer treatments and operations. Now I am converting to Linux ! That alone will get me at least another 1 million ppd.

I guess wether Nekolepsy folds for us or not this particular race will be "tainted" because of the points problem.
I think just continuing on and letting it be is best.
We gained some points as a result also, so how do we calculate that? How much is enough or too much?
It just gives us more motivation to improve our methods and a reason to upgrade.
I am astonished at what we have accomplished thus far as we have less than half the active folders as the Brony's do.
A little front page press would be great, but it probably won't happen.

My two cents worth: (also posted over on their forum.) I hope I am not speaking out of turn.

Thanks Nekolepsy, you are a scholar and a gentleman. (Pokey makes an assumption) but I agree with Tony. That is truly a noteworthy gesture, but we have all had "stuff" happen during an event and seem to be able to soldier on. Let's see how this plays out. If we still prevail we will truly have bragging rights, if not well we have an excuse...............

I agree fully.

You are pretty new to DC so I wouldn't expect you to know the virus thing was already done a long time ago.

And to my TeAmmates participating in the Brony race: If you had any November CPU points counted in December I suggest you do the honorable thing and insist that they not be counted.
The rules were "10" paces - you don't want to be accused of turning and firing at "9" paces!

Here are the stats for the 15th day of the 12th Folding@Home Holiday Season Race
Stats are as of December 16, 2017, 20:15 UTC (approx).
The inter-team race stats are from the Folding@Home stats page.
The intra-team race stats are from EOC.com.

The inter-team race:

The intra-team race:

The intra-team race daily production:

The intra-team race individual daily production:

I think I'll wait a bit with the restructuring of the teams. One reason is the upcoming PrimeGrid race (who knows what happens then), the second that there are upgrades coming, both software and hardware ...
Just get on folding, TeAm-mates!

The inter-team race:

The intra-team race:

The intra-team race daily production:

The intra-team race individual daily production:

The total production of all racers:

Thats all, folks. We need to recruit more folder, fold more and add more points ...
If we continue to produce at the current rate, we will produce 1 250 041 603 points in the intra-team race.
The TeAm as a whole will produce 1 435 756 773 points, which is 144 300 400 more points compared to 2016. Not too bad, but we need more points ...
Also the PrimeGrid Race is coming up, which usually diminishes our production for those days ...

Hmm, my Points Produced regressed on Dec 17 relative to Dec 16. This could be from a little downtime which I needed in order to integrate parts that a little brown truck brought last week.

Thanks for the stats Peter!

@Mark - I've had to reinstall my nvidia drivers on both comps that the Fall Windows update has run on. Highly annoying, especially if you are trying to get some folding done.

Now see this: StefanR5R har dumped a lot of points - probably quite a few CPU-work units. But the production of other TeAm-mates has also increased: Mark_F-Williams, IEC, 10esseeTony, Pokey_TA and some others have all substantially increased their production.
This means that the TeAm has out-produces Brony@Home ... who has 204 active members compared to the TeAm, who has 83 active members.
Not bad at all, TeAm-mates. But we still need more points, more folder and more hardware ...
The TeAm has produced more points in 11 of 17 days and the difference to Brony@hame is getting smaller To win the race we need to produce approx. 2M points more than Brony@Home fore each and every day of the remaining race. It will help if we dump now ands then a few million CPU-points too.

You make it hard for me to admit: My step up in PPD is actually a net result of adding GPUs and removing CPUs. (Distracted by trying something in WCG. I hope we see tomorrow if we can advance there.)

Few things I'm trying:
1) Going to remove Win10pro from my main rig and install Win10LTSB. Get rid of all that MS bloatware right at install.
-- Can't even tell you how much chaos that "Creators Update" caused. No more.. MS can keep that crap.
2) I'm moving my 2 - 1070s out of my main and into some spare rigs; installed one 1080Ti received last month. I don't know if I can get the 1070s on F@H soon, but we'll see.
3) Ask Santa nicely for another 1080Ti.

I figure its time to move my D.net herd from RC5 to F@H for a while.

Nekolepsy at the Brony@Home forum said:
Looks like my folding will be reduced for a while. The work server that assigns work for >24 cpus machines is down. I'm setting my 32 and 40 thread boxes to 24 for now, but some points is better than no points.

I could split them in into two slots, but the A7 work units (The >24 thread WUs) seem to provide a bit more points than the A4 (<=24) work units. I'll give them a day to fix their server. If it stays down then I'll see about doing moving to two slots.
It's like déjà vu all over again. I believe it was about the same time last year around that F@H ran out of 0xa7 units and only offered the much lower paying 0xa4 units, rendering the two dual-socket hosts which I had at that time pretty much worthless for F@H. Last year, 0xa7 units remained unavailable for many weeks; we'll see how it goes this year.

At least I have a solid excuse for doing a bit more WCG now.

@petrusbroder

I'll try again at FAH after the primegrid race. I did one "independent" cpu task at the beginning of the month. I assumed the GPU wu's were CUDA. I wasn't given any. .
