I actually helped co-organize that meetup at Old Dominion, and a good time was had by all (though I do recall a certain spilled red wine incident!)

Would love to do it again--unfortunately I'm in NYC the weekend of the 12th. But if that date works with everyone else, don't postpone on my account. Hope everyone has a great time!

I am gone from DEC 19-27...otherwise am game.

The new "it" bar to go to is Birch and Barley at 1337 14th St NW.

1337 = ATOT bar

Oh, and seconded on the ChurchKey/Birch & Barley recommendation (ChurchKey is the bar-like setting upstairs, Birch&Barley is restaurant-style downstairs.) 555 different beers in bottles, ~60 different drafts including 5 cask-conditioned ales! Can you say beer?

This place would be a short walk for me--wish I was in town weekend of the 12th

Jawo and I did a lot of the planning for the last one, and despite his wanting to do another for quite some time, I guess we've been too busy to get around to it.

Thanks for taking the lead and planning another.

I am still good for the afternoon of the 12th but have appointments for that morning and evening.

Anyone care to join me to volunteer to lay wreathes at Arlington Cemetary on the morning of the 12th before heading to the bar for beer?

I was there last Sunday at 4:30, so it must open at 4. But 4 may be too late on Saturday for me.

Like a 2:00 PM start time at Old Dominion would be good.
