an ok race. not a lot of eye candy, but i think the savvy race fan should have found it interesting - especially the last quarter of the race.
2012 hungarian grand prix tv times (edt)
practice 1: 4 am friday, speed.com
practice 2: 8 am friday, speed
practice 3: 5 am saturday, speed.com
qualifying: 8 am saturday, speed
race: 8 am sunday, speed
looks like high temps and thunderstorms friday and sunday
Wait. You sure about that? My DVR says delayed telecast on Speed @ 12 PM EDT
http://www.speedtv.com/schedule/filter/date/2012-7-29
i don't think speed has ever done a delayed broadcast of f1
not my favorite race this season, but i'm just glad to have the summer break over with
grosjean will be banned from the next race for causing 1 hell of a crash, and maldonado has 2 5-place penalties coming to him (jump start, causing a collision)
Did they confirm that Maldonado jumped? It wasn't clear on TV but I expect the telemetry would show for certain.
Maldonado received a total of three penalties during the race weekend having been docked three places on the grid for impending Nico Hulkenberg during qualifying.
The Lotus driver was also fined €50,000 for the collision.
Alonso was lucky that his points situation didn't end up worse.
Too bad Schuey lost a gear. I think he was going to have a good day.
For only the second time this year an F1 race is on a weekend I'm off. Excited!! Lots of rumblings that Hamilton is going to sign with Mercedes. I don't see it happening. He's way to competive to sign with a car that isn't championship competive with a company talking of cutting back from the sport. Just doesn't make sense.
