Engineer, Marty, Dantoo, i thought it was time to bring our little competition into a single thread

To start, here are the block totals according to Dnet -

MadMerc - 68151
Engineer - 61078
Dantoo - 50012
Marty - 48086

So far, i am holding my lead, but i had to assimilate like mad to stay ahead, and i have reached my limit i think.

Marty, i guess we are still waiting for the G4 to show, but it should be interesting when it does

Dantoo, my feeling is you have some work to do, to stay in contention

The G4 will do its work today, it is cracking right now!

Athlon 896 will be added on Wednsday or Thursday, due to a slight miscommunication, it has not been cracking for the past 5 days.

looks like my harddrive is dead, but i cant confirm that, as my fdd controller is dead also - time to get a new rig i think, then test whats left of the old one, still what still works and what doesnt

I do now have a sad face....The case fan on my BookPC went out....No damage to the PC, but no cracking either....Not until a new one arrives...Probably Friday...400MHz just waiting

As you can see, Engineer is climbing hard, and will pass me in the next stats run. However, ill be dumping tomorrow, and should pull ahead again.

Bad news however, my home pc is now completly dead, and wont even power up. Cant do anything with it till the weekend, and i may need to replace it (can you say Athlon 900?)

Hey guys,

I beleive the PF may be now flushing in my name also....I didn't flush any blocks to D.Net directly (that I know of?), so there shouldn't be that big of difference between Mika and D.net?:Q....

I don't think it's fair that I'm racing you guys, and getting extra help...especically since I'm not getting it on my own....

We'll see what happens in the next few days....

I've turned on several more machines on 24/7 (PIII 550, PIII450, Pentium 200, Pentium 133 and a Pentium 100), but I don't beleive that they are contributing that much more, unless Mika's stats page is not tallying correctly?

Anyone else?

I may retire my original e-mail address and restart under a new "fair" name.....

I'll check my PC's to make sure that some are not flushing directly to D.net.....

One strange item, however, I did flush 1400 blocks the day before yesterday through Mika's and only got 300 credit on his server...I thought maybe they were Randoms...Not sure now?

I'll make a decision soon.........

I'm going to move all my herd to a new e-mail addy and retire my old one....As soon as I figure out how....

there is a how to retire your email faq somewhere in the forums, a search should bring it up - as i understand it, your blocks will get transfered to the new addy on the dnets stats box, but you will be starting again on Mika's.

an old saying comes to mind - beware of what you wish for

But will all blocks that continue to come in on my old e-mail address be forwarded to the new one...I don't want that!:|

Also, until I get around to figuring it all out, can we just use my Mika stats to make it fair....

At least here? I've only been watching the pages on Mika anyway....That's been the fun part I don't mind starting over, but it may take a little while!

Da#n it, it seems that all incoming packets on the old retired e-mail will be forwarded....

I'll just create a new one, and not retire the old one....

I'll e-mail you guys the address so you can know what to look for...I'm not posting it for obvious reasons:|

ill have a look at the faq later, and see if i can allieviate your fears. I dont mind just using the mika figures, i'll just have to make sure all my clients are set to no fallback - otoh, i have about 12k blocks on dnet that didnt go through mika's for assorted reason's, so i have the advantage on dnet, but not on mika's

Guys, I'm now on page ...Gulp...6 of Mika's.......I'm moving all my e-mail addresses and will NOT be retiring the original, as all units sent to it will be forwarded to the new one! You should be able to guess who I am on that page!....

Here we go again, and this time, I hope not to screw it up!

Oh, it will take the rest of the day before I can get home to change my home PCs....They are dumping to my old e-mail address

Engineer - from now on, (starting tomorrow) ill update using figures from dnet and mika's giving two seperate results. ill also add your two sets of mika's figures together to give your overall total

I've had my own set of troubles as well.

This morning I woke up, only to find that my trusty G4 had crashed. Its up and running now, but still, I lost several hundred blocks. Oh well...

Engineer, the race will now be to see if we reach 100K before you reach 40K under your new e-mail. With your assimilations, though, it may be a close race to 200K. Are the four of us up for it?
