The Burger Brasserrie in Bally's / Paris that serves the $777 burger is always empty. The $30 burgers on the menu is a waste of money also. You can get a burger equal to the quality at Carl’s JR. or a MC D’S Angus burger for $6.

yeah and have to eat them next to someone reeking of BO.

Only in America. In Vegas though, people probably buy it to celebrate their winnings.

Yeah, because frivolous spending on crappy food only happens here. :\

I've never found Kobe burgers to be very good. Kobe steaks are - and are far more expensive.

Once, I was in 'the oldest steakhouse in New York City', and a group of Wall Street 20's types comes in, and one loudly asks the waiter, 'HOW MUCH FOR THE BEST STEAK YOU HAVE? HA, HA, back slapping pals. The waiter tells him the price of the Kobe steak. Guy asks much more quietly, 'how much for the second best?'

There's a restaurant I haven't beet to yet here, Alexander's, they say has the Kobe for $250 - comes with a big certificate certifying you got it.

Also, you can get just the burger, sans Dom, for about 70 bucks at the Burger Brassiere in the hotel.

$707 for a bottle of dom? cheezus.

PS not "only in America. there are just as many if not more "opulent" foods in Europe/Japan.

$777 sounds a little rich to me. I've had many hundred dollar hamburgers over the years though.
