yea not sure why they didn't just drop the 16 and shift everything down, its not like the memory costs anything
Because more people will pay $100 to jump from 16 GB to 64 GB than they would from 32 GB to 64 GB. This is about driving up margins.

While I can't bitch about the $100 premium to go to 64 gig, that's lame ass way to go about it by starting at 16 gig.
here comes them claiming they invented mobile payments
From the verge
Oh my god Apple is doing a late-night infomercial "it's so hard to pay" video.
Now we get a video showing how complicated credits cards are to use. Oh god, you have to pull it out of the wallet. Oh god, they need to see ID. Oh god, this is taking forever. She has to swipe again
All this is missing is black and white footage and exaggerated fumbling.
It makes you really unhappy that Apple's probably going to succeed at this, doesn't it?
Apparently Apple wanted to start the price at $300 on contract, but the carriers wouldn't accept that. So I think Apple probably intentionally made the $200 model as unappealing as possible, so they can sell the more expensive model easier.
im not unhappy, I just dislike it when companies lie about stuff
and the stuff pulled from the verge was from people at the event which is pretty funny no matter how you feel
So the whole NFC thing is where I think Google deserves a slap in the face. Apple's gonna do what Google should've done from day 1 now.
And combined with a fingerprint reader, it makes FAR more sense than a PIN in Google Wallet. This is big IMO.

It does. But wasn't it restricted to MC for the longest time? Carrier blocked? Blah blah blah?Doesn't Google Wallet use NFC?
But they aren't really. Looking at their little video its using a pre-existing kiosk. Apple isn't pushing adoption here they are simply coming to the party after the infrastructure already exists. So the whole NFC thing is where I think Google deserves a slap in the face. What have they lied about?
