A lot of people who want to be a part of the "cool" crowd. It will sell.
I'm not a fan of the design, but IMO this is by far the best and most functional wearable available today.
Still a long way to go in this category however.
I can't believe they're spending more than 5 seconds with the geolocation feature.
Show me how it can present "smart" information to me in a way that makes it better than simply pulling out my smartphone.
I like that I can just lift my wrist and the display will turn on, so I don't have to touch the watch to see the time. Though I wonder if these means the display will be on the entire time I'm doing something active like walking or running
"All of the photos that you favorite will just show up on your Apple Watch."
Not feeling the watch. I wear different watches depending on what I'm doing. No way I'd stick to just one that looks like this.
iWatch Siri integration - so you can look like a crazy person yelling at your wrist instead of at your phone! -@JTIE_6EE7
Apple: "It's great to look at your photos on this massive iPhone"
Apple: "It's great to look at your photos on this tiny Watch screen" -@dlogtnarg
It's nice of #Apple to develop something that'll live on my wrist and drain my phone battery. I was tired of doing that manually. -@JeremyAbramson

But also if you have friends who aren't emotionally 14, it's pretty damn handy.

Can you imagine being able to give your friend's wrist a mild buzz any time you wanted to and to draw something anatomically offensive for him at whim.
I don't wear watches (or any kind of jewelry). I just started warming up to the idea of a fitness tracker brand, which would still annoying me but be cool, so we'll see how Apple's watch compares...
I haven't been on the watch bandwagon so far and am still not sold, but I do like some of the things they've added. Siri is huge as they improve it. UI is different but I think can work. Price will be huge. If they can hit $199...maybe $249 they might have a winner.
Agreed. Its a pretty big step up compared to Android watches. Having a GPS and speaker are pretty important.
Is the GPS integrated or does it require a connection to an iPhone? I've heard conflicting reports about this so far.
But why would GPS have been integrated? I think for maps, obviously it needs maps data. But what if you want to go on a run? Then a standalone GPS makes sense so you don't have to lug your phone along. Is the GPS integrated or does it require a connection to an iPhone? I've heard conflicting reports about this so far.
