The abit KT7 Raid Board!

Of the past four motherboards I've had in my main system,
Abit IT5H, SIMM socket or memory controller or something died, about 1.5 years
Abit BH6, Random reboots, expansion cards wouldn't work, bluescreens, about 1.5 years
Abit KT7(non-raid), booted once, died, about 1/2 hour.
RMA'ed Abit KT7, bluescreens in win2k, tried parallel port for the first time yesterday, its dead, about 1 month, probably DOA.

If for some unholy reason I may be fooled into making my next board an abit, may giant rats gnaw my torso in half.

I relive this horror for YOUR benefit. Learn from my mistakes.

As for your HP controller, I will agree, its not the best option out there. But its still good, and I have no probs with mine using a 75GXP

As fort the Radeon, try the latest drivers from rage3d and you also might try the new VIA update, they have a 4 in 1 patch. That should clear things up

Ya, the hp controller does its job, at least for me, I have no probs with it.....BUt I would rather have a Promise controller built in....Oh well....

wow the abit, microstar, asus thing again, how many times have we seen this???
Anyway i just finished building my 4th rig for friends and all with kt-7 and 0 problems.
Best overclock i could get was 950 with the last 3 750t-birds.
I have read alot about rma and abit but i think maybe they are correcting this problem and hope future products prove this.
Hey its good for all of us to see this competition and hopefully all brands will adopt jumperless designs, this is the glowing feature of abit and once u use it you mught never go back. And its not laziness its just easier, faster and more accessable for newbies like we all were once so unless i see a report that abit is twice as unreliable as others i will keep buyin em.

Ya know, alot of people are quick to blame hardware as the cause of their problems....When it may very well be a short between the keybaord and a chair.....You know, someone thinks they know more then they really do, so they try something, it doesnt work, BAM! Blame it on the hardware........
