which 5 company? There are only 4 and all are under AMD contract(Gaming Evolved Program)

Off of the top of my head...

Cloud Imperium Games/Roberts Space Industries (Star Citizen)
Stardock (New Star Control Game, some other game, Nitrous/Oxide)
Mohawk Games ('Mars' Game, Nitrous/Oxide)
Square Enix/Eidos-Montreal(Thief)
Electronic Arts (Battlefield 4, etc., DICE/Frostbite)

Four game engines so far, that we know of (Nitrous, whatever Star Citizen is using, Modified Unreal 3, Frostbite).

Lol that top 3 dont provide AAA games except star citizen .Those are new companies and most all based on RTS games.

Have you really failed to comprehend everything? Most of the time your hexacores are sitting there doing nothing. Mantle will actually put all of those cores to work for you.

Could you answer the questions you run away from if I answer this?
(I can link you to the posts if you have "forgotten"?)

You assume I'm playing games where I am drawcall limited, I don't play any of those game to my knowlegede....could you give me the names of the games currently drawcall limited in such a manner, that mantle would give me full 12 thread load?
Or are this just more empty "PR"?

I'd be a rich man if I could collect all the salt you folks are generating and put it up for sale. Salty, salty people.

But I understand. It's gotta sting to see most of EA's upcoming catalog supporting Mantle, then come back to this thread day after day to call it empty PR. :whiste:

What a logic lol.Who said EA spending money on Mantle.Do u have any link to prove ur statement.AMD is spending all the money and there is reason why EA is worst company and got a award for it.

AMD would not pay for all of that at all.

They may support them in a way but there is no way AMD is going to stump up 2-3 months of costs for DICE to produce BF4 Mantle.

Lets not forget that the API is strongly linked to the consoles version which has already been made. So most of the work has been done.

When this is proven to work then i wonder what you people will be saying.

I'm not running from anything. I'm trying to explain things to you and you completely ignore it then ask loaded questions that are so tightly defined as to predetermine the answer. I'm just not playing your silly games, that's all.

You can choose to ignore what I say. I really don't care. Everyone sees what we both post and can draw their conclusions.

So you changed you stance now?

Mantle is going to go the way of Physx and end up being used in the lamest way. Just like Physx hasn't changed gameplay and is only used for sparkles and stuff, Mantle isn't going to change the game and is just going to be used for a very slight performance boost. Maybe a major performance boost in the extreme case of RTS.

Which is a shame. But that's what happens when you go the vendor-locked way.

I'm confused..what is you stance now?

Let me clap for u.What a logic.EA is targeting to make profit with 7 to 9% at max sure now it makes so sense.

So you are trolling?

No, I have an open mind. I've made my position on Mantle pretty clear:

When asked to make a prediction on performance, I said "30%, mostly in minimum FPS." I stand by that. When talking about its future prospects, I compared it to Physx: a total disappointment, relegated to sparkle effects and zero gameplay innovation. Mantle will be the same thing. It won't change games, just make them a little faster on AMD hardware. Just like Physx doesn't change games, and just makes them a little prettier on Nvidia hardware. I earnestly believe Mantle will fail in its goal to revolutionize the industry. I do think it will help AMD sell cards though.

Hats will be eaten. I can say that and you can quote me on that, that. Only a little while longer to wait and hopefully the trolling will stop.

Electronic Arts has been around for a LOOOOOONG time. As has Square Enix. Both provide a number of AAA titles.

BTW, Stardock was honored with at least one Game Of The Year award for Galactic Civilizations II, as well as several Editor's Choice Awards (including PC Gamer), a game that is generally considered one of the best in the 4x Space genre.

I've seen GalCiv III coverage by several very prominent websites/magazines as well. Pretty good for a game that is still a ways from release...

And of course, there is that other Stardock title, Sins Of A Solar Empire... which earned SEVERAL PC Strategy Game Of The Year awards...

There is no information about the hardware being used. The demo is also on an empty server where CPU load will be light.

Other than that, if the demo is real it indicates that at least its working.
Its fake.

Johan Andersson

This is fake. Which is easy to see as there is no "Graphics API" option in the Video settings + our Mantle work has not been released yet

What you fail to grasp is that every game is draw call limited. Even with mantle they will eventually be draw call limited. The thing is that devs will not have to sacrifice nearly as much to get acceptable performance out of their games with an api that allows more draw calls.

You don't play draw call limited games now because the developers true creative vision always gets butchered and stripped down to the point that it can run well. Ignoring that mantle can change this shows that you are either clueless about games or just being intentionally obtuse to once more incite a thread lock.

You calling all games for "butchered and stripped" sound more like PR than reality...and we cannot say anything certain about Mantle right now...except that it is all PR right now.

Prove me wrong...PR dosn't do anything to me...but annoy me.
Show me the "money"...or hit the road...

I have the feeling you and some others feel threatened by mantle or do you think amd is the only company using "pr" to promote their products? why all the negativity?

I'm not "negativity"...I'm just a realist...and a sudden influx of new posters "prasing" PR and promoting il-informed notions just trips my BS-meter.
So I poke holes in the PR...like I poke holes in religious FUD at other forums.

But to a persons eating PR claims raw and with no filter, I might seem real annoying...but that is not my problem.

Do you have anything to say on the Mantle PR...or are you just focused on me? ^^
