Yeah, the developer is probably thinking "Nope... we probably don't stand a chance of getting this shipped in February"
Update: The "Mantle" driver reported by WCCFTech and other websites does not actually contain any libraries for Mantle. As of today, the driver's code is more than 6 weeks old and generates irrelevant performance.
Mantle remains on track for January, and you'll be sure to hear the story straight from us this month.
So what you guys think will come first, driver or the bf4 patch? Not that it really matters just some fun speculation.
I'm calling... driver!
That's not it mate! It is laptop dirvers top to bottom, no mantle, no true audio no nothing. It doesn't even have desktop graphics .inf files in it. That site is unreliable, actually more like rubbish!http://www.techpowerup.com/197339/amd-catalyst-13-35-beta-driver-with-mantle-api-leaked.html
It appears you called it correctly. Although the comments down below claim there is no sign of any Mantle DLL files.
I guess it doesn't really matter which comes first, the AMD Driver or the BF4 patch, because you won't be able to test it without either one.

That tweet said "even a 290 performance increase is measurable". That doesn't sounds good at all.
That tweet said "even a 290 performance increase is measurable". That doesn't sounds good at all. We don't want measurable. We want substantial.
Agreed. I noticed that also. Although, there are so many variables. 290 with a fast CPU? 290 with an APU? I thought CPU had a lot to do with the impact. Hopefully all will soon be revealed.
What if the driver ships with the patch?

/BF4 shows Mantle quite strong/
/as a starting point/
/will improve/
/performance boost is measurable(290)/
/especially with X-Fire/
Is this AMD marketing having just another bad day, or is there a way to read this and be optimistic?
Increases for heavily GPU bound situations won't be substantial. Mantle reduces CPU overhead very well, it does not help GPU bound cases nearly as much.
