While the averages for that Kaveri test case have changed by "only" 14%, the frametime graph looks fantastic! It's ridiculously flat now, better than any of the others. That's a console level of consistency.
Son, I am disappoint.
Mantle is a new low-level graphics API that we’ve been working very closely with AMD on over the last 2 years and it is a major change & improvement to how we are able to program & use modern GPUs in order to get the most out of them.
You run a Gigabyte GTX 780 (Stock) w/ XSPC Full Cover Water block.Son, I am disappoint.

Would anything have impressed you?
I don't think you are part of the target audience.

@BitCoinBoy no it is an important case and 7970 will be supported in the AMD drivers. it is supported in the drivers we have
Can you show me a post where you stated that you expected any huge gains?Everyone did expect huge gains with their high end PCs with 290 and 290X cards. And that isn't happening apparently.
AMD's marketing for Mantle tied in with the 290 and 290X cards and nobody is using that mess with a freakin' i3, celeron or Pentium. Nobody buys a 500-700$ GPU to pair with a 50-80$ CPU. Please.
The target audience wasn't expected to be cheap bargain bin CPUs. Nobody expected that. Everyone did expect huge gains with their high end PCs with 290 and 290X cards. And that isn't happening apparently.

So the greater installed base of 7950 / 7970 is shafted vs the lesser installed base 290 / 290x users because the 290 / 290x gets drivers first???
Might buy an nVidia flavor...
Dice already has working gcn 1.0 drivers. cant be that long until release.
Plz if u dont know anything than dont brother to post .AMD said that R9 290X will huge amount of performance gain over titan and same was said by Roy@AMD.So dont go there and u will get more disappointments like others. Can you show me a post where you stated that you expected any huge gains?

So, 2,4% more performance in gpu-limited situations.
What a game changer.
But people do pair older CPUs with better cards or even go SLi/CF. The amount of life breathed into older Q2Q, X6, 1st gen i7 and current AMD CPUs is massive. Someone that ran out of GPU upgrades is able to upgrade again.
