RazrLeaf here.

Named as such because:
1 - I love Pokémon
2 - My surname in my native language translates to "leaf" in English

Hi! I'm Andrew.

I've been a regular reader for perhaps six or eight years, but this is my first forum post.

I've been involved with computers from a young age, back when computers for consumers were still relatively new in South Africa. I enjoy gaming, software development, information management/data warehousing/business intelligence and reading about hardware. (Having an unlimited hardware budget would be nice...)

I like AT and I like screwdrivers. What an awesome combo!

Been around for a while. Interest morphing from gaming PCs more to HTPCs.

Hi!

My name is Nikos and I am computer enthusiast. I am a regular of Anandtech and I am writing from Spain. Congratulation for the work and the initiative of the screwdriver give-away. I am sure it will become very handy.

The prospect of winning an AnandTech screwdriver is enough to bring me out into the open. I could ask everybody about all the buttons and switches to turn off in Windows 10 so that I feel secure and don't have to scurry back to the shadows... yet.

I guess I'm one of those odd ones that does news and forums. This site is a great place to come for anyone who needs high tech concepts brought down a notch for easier understanding. And the forums are a great place to score deals on other people's used stuff.

Hey, I am The Day Dreamer from India. I usually lurk around here grasping knowledge and contribute less to the forums.

Although my new cabinet has no nut-bolts but wouldn't mind this souvenir

Old school geek from way back in the VIC20 C-64 days. Yes I was once the proud owner a 1541 Floppy Disk Drive, the slowest disk drive on the planet earth. Even built a Capsella science kit fan with two double batteries to cool it when playing Ultima I,II and III and entering towns. I would connect the lead and the fan prevented overheating and freezing, making it possible to 'zone in' (changing disks too, of course) to a town and sell all my booty from roaming the pixelated world.

I am a bit of a repair tool nut. I own 14 sets to date ranging from WERA and WIHA to cheap Chinese sets. I like each set for different reasons and have a hard time NOT buying a tool kit once I see it. My latest fixation is the WIHA ESD Master Technicians set but I just cant bring myself to drop $270 dollars.

Anyway please enter me as I would love to add the AnandTech driver to my collection of tools.

When you are installing or upgrading the OS there is a customize settings button in the lower left that you can click on then for me the first 3 of 4 turned off and then IIRC, the second page was the same leaving only location and sending information on crashes to Microsoft enabled. There are a few more that you have disable once the install completes but that's just me being JOSEPH STALIN paranoid. There are about 900 article about exactly which ones to switch off. There is no such thing as privacy and the NSA already knows which sites you like.

Hi everyone, rurushu here.
I'm from a South-East Asian country

I have only known Anandtech about a year ago and ever since, Anandtech has always been my go-to site for news about technologies and especially when I am researching the web for a more in depth information about some tech that I am not familiar with. I am particularly fond of the review sections and also those technology analysis articles because I found them to be very informative, especially those SSD reviews by Kristian and news coverage from computex or development conferences.

Right now, I am about to build myself a PC and just got myself a PC casing (after researching awhile and read/ watched tonnes of reviews ^.^'''). I have never tinker around computer hardwares so this first build of mine is making me a little nervous as to speak
But I can say that I am of those lot that tends to do some research before starting anything, therefore I am still learning, bit by bits

As for the internal hardwares though, still waiting for Skylake's Xeon series that hopefully will launch in Sept.
Therefore, I think having a screwdriver at a time like this would come in handy when I have finally gathered all the hardwares required, and start my first DIY build

New user here, long time lurker of the site, and I didn't even know there was even a forum! Nice to meet ya'll, and all hail the power of screwdrivers!

I used to assemble PCs for friends and family as a hobby, but now with work, I'm relegated to window shopping and building PCs in my dream. Looking forward to stumbling across another obsession here in the forums!

Hi, I'm a lifer here, although I suppose that I don't always have the proper decorum of a lifer around here, so for that I apologize.

I'm a PC-building freak. I love experimenting with different brands and styles of PCs.

My most recent experiment was with a pair of MeegoPad T02 Ubuntu edition Compute Sticks. I had trouble with the factory install of Ubuntu, so I wiped them, tried to install Linux Mint, couldn't (as couldn't LonOnTech, mentioned in his YouTube review of the product), and just earlier tonight, I found the Win10 32-bit drivers to make it work properly in Win10.

Planning on ditching my ATX gaming rigs for Compute Sticks, and running a Windows (7?) VM on an unRAID 6.x server, once I get my server re-formatted and pay for a paid unRAID license.

Anyways, I collect things, and that screwdriver sure is Shiny! Thank AT.

Edit: And especially a hearty welcome to all AT fans, that just registered for our forums. I think that you will find the tech sub-forums to be a friendly and helpful place. (For the most part.)

* Grabs VirtualLarry and Burpo by the throat and fights for the screwdriver*

J/K either one of them deserves it more, I just like hanging out.

:thumbsup::thumbsup:
