I'm glad that this has brought so many readers and lurkers out of the woodworks! We know there have been some complaints about the screwdrivers--they're not very fancy, they're relatively inexpensive, they aren't sonic--but it managed to lure some of you guys here so that's good enough for us!

We'll be randomly selecting 10 people to receive screwdrivers on Friday, to account for the slight delay with the news post when we first launched this. The lucky winners will be contacted via PM, so be sure to check the forums often

I have so many fans here!

I'm Phil,
I joined anAnd back in 2004 as "jaggerwild" I'm a wanna be overclocker, after sometime on the forum. One of the Mods took a disliking to my avatar, a mostly naked woman of Chinese descent. I left for a while, now back. I was part of the group on AnAndtech that brought up the Gigabyte 680 issue as the box stated it supported Extreme Intel CPU'S but when they came out there was no support for them.(link)

I had worked as a Slot Technician for the past 12 years, never touched a computer till then. One day I realized slot machine's were just over priced computer's. Been building since then, think it was the 939 socket K55 era if my memory serves me right.
Anyway no one likes books...................Cheers!

Yes, I do wantz da proof I browse Anandtech.

I joined this site in 2012. Just started my deep dive into computers. Before then, the only thing I did was clean the heatsink for the family computer then, which had a Pentium 4 era chip. I soon built my first system, which was on the LGA1155 platform. I don't nearly post as I did before.

I guess figuring out, on a macroscopic level, how clockspeed and IPC are related in the determining actual "speed" of a CPU by myself reading articles and benchmarks should make me feel a little proud. No longer am I in the dark when I see a spec sheet.

I don't have a job related to IT. I deliver pizzas right now and have a degree in Economics.

I definitely like listening to music, and from many different periods! Mozart, Beethoven are great. The Marriage of Figaro is probably one of the most obscure works to casuals. Don Mclean(writer of "American Pie" and other songs), Gloria Gaynor's "I will survive". I also like video game music, like those by Yasnori Mitsuda and Yuka Tsujiyoko.

I am a fan of the Washington Redskins and the Montreal Canadiens.

Howdy - I'm a scientific programmer from way back - started with mainframes in the 60s, DECs in the 70's, Supercomputers like Cray in the 80's and was hired from away from a research position at the local university and now have 23 years for Lockheed Martin as a "Senior Scientist"; fancy title for a guy who knows math and can program.

I raced Motorcycles in the desert (1960 -2005), rally cars (I was a navigator not driver 1969 to 1980s) and Conservationist (1974 to present). Avocations are American, especially Nevada History and Archeology.

I have an opinion on most everything but can be easily swayed by logic. I read the software, technology and news mainly put usually hit new posts each visit to this AnandTech site.

I try to comment intelligently and not quip; but enjoy reading those posts that are quips and non-meniscal replies . I aspire to be a polymath but often fall short on subjects that fail my 'time versus reward' test. More combatable talking about the military service before we lost the war and served one four year hitch, enlisting when I got drafted because it was safer. I'm an old fart.

'nuff said'

You get a screwdriver, and you get a screwdriver, and you get a screwdriver, too. Everybody gets a screwdriver!

Okay, not literally everybody, since we only have 10 to give away for this but I always like to channel Oprah when I announce winners for things.

Without further ado, here are the 10 lucky individuals who will receive these admittedly inexpensive and not-sonic-capable screwdrivers!

You should all receive a PM from me later today with instructions on how to claim it!

For everybody else, thank you very much for coming out and taking the time to say 'hi'. I know a lot of you are lurkers and will likely remain lurkers, but hopefully this brief foray into the forums has been interesting enough for some of you to return again soon

I could be wrong, as arithmetic isn't exactly my forte, but I only see nine names there.

Congrats to the winners! Happy screwing!

Ahhh you're right! I'm not too good at the maths either, it's my secret shame. Thanks for catching that, I'll run the randomizer again and get a 10th name
