Er you realize you're spouting the exact same garbage the people that inflated housing markets, dotcom, etc, did, before those bubbles burst, right? Just because people like you are still desperately propping it up doesn't mean its not still a bubble. I mean, they're still fluffing GameStop and AMC, openly admitting its out of spite now even.
it is being used regularly in places like south America and Africa where govt currencies have gone to shit.

Oh wow, 3 startups, stop the presses.
Also, uh, did you read your own article? (That's rhetorical, I know you didn't bother).
For many crypto enthusiasts around the world, decentralised and digital currency is primarily about ideology or profit.
"I trust more mathematics and software than I trust politicians," Mr Ferrer explains. "I think that Bitcoin for Argentinians should be a no-brainer."
Just desperate people having to deal with economic turmoil. Does he trust people like SBF? Because we see how trusting "mathematics and software" goes when its managed by people like that.
Oh and there's this:
There are other ways that the strong government intervention in the economy has helped cryptocurrency gain a footing in Argentina. For example, it's relatively cheap to run an
energy-guzzling Bitcoin mining operation, because the cost of electricity is kept relatively low.
Actually that entire article is hilarious, but not surprising since its from a year ago before we saw the reality of the absolute fraud that has been the driving force behind the crypto valuations (which we haven't even really begun to see just how much that will impact things). Mining has dropped out massively. The article even mentions it was cryptobros there driving the adoption of crypto, which means they're either now losing out because of the frauds, or are the frauds in which case its the same shit by a different name. But I guess at least its young douchebags instead of politicians fleecing people of money...
