I saw this movie recently and was laughing so hard I could barely breath. Quite possibly the funniest movie I've seen. Ever.

Granted it's vile vile humor, but hey that's my thing.

I heard from people that it was supposed to be this super funny movie so I netflixed it. What a let down. It was boring and just.....meh. I didn't like it.

I give it a "meh". it was way too long for what it was. there were hilarious parts (mime version ), but a lot of down time as well. overall: meh

Bob Saget had me on the floor laughing. I always that he was a jackass but that version of the joke delivered.

Haven't seen the movie. But, I heard the only one who actually made a decent attempt at re-telling the joke in the movie was Gilbert Gottfried. The rest was supposedly filled with boring documentary-style interviews.

Anyone have a transcript of Gilbert's version?

If I'm not mistaken, Gilbert Gottfried's actually told the joke at Hugh Hefner's roast on Comedy Central. I'm at work so my ability to access anything like a transcript is nil. But to nd's point, I'd give an emphatic "yes" his joke was a killer. I'm not even much of a GG fan either.

After I read IMDB I was sold. Never saw so many comments about vulgarity in a movie.

This is true. He started in on it because he tried a 9/11 related joke "too soon" and so he started in on the "Aristocrats" joke (as that was its purpse IIRC)

Like I said in the last Aristocrats thread, I think you'd be missing out on a large part of the humor by renting the DVD and watching it home alone. I think the thrill was hearing the most vile and dirty joke in an audience of mixed company, having no idea what their reaction would be.

It'd be like watching The Rocky Horror Picture Show alone, instead of in a theatre full of other fvcked-up weirdos, reciting lines as the actors do them, or whatever.
