Two questions: 1) do xp boosts expire in real time, or game time?
2) should you open all battlepacks immediately, or save them until after you unlock weapons you want attachments for?

I'm probably just going to open them right away. I have premium so I get 12 free ones. It's like christmas!

I've gotten my money's worth and then a lot more out of BF3 plus premium. Bf3 is one of my favorite gaming experiences so I am looking forward to what BF4 has to offer. As a grown man with a decent job, I don't mind paying for a premium if the quality is there. With the exception of closed quarters, I thought the premium maps in BF3 were excellent.

I said it here many times over, I bought premium for BF3 about 8 months ago but cannot play the game because I do not have a system that can handle it (only use a slow ass laptop now). Yes, BF3 is unopened and collecting dust now.

So, when I do manage to buy a gaming computer in the next few months and manage to finally install BF3 premium then basically nobody will be playing BF3

One cannot imagine the feeling of frustration I am experiencing now. Yes, it is my fault but I am frustrated all the same

In my case, I can only enjoy BF3 for the single player experience since the MP will be more or less worthless to me now. Wait until BF4 has a premium release (2yrs from now?) and buy BF4 then?

There are still a lot of people playing BC2, so maybe there will be a group of people saying BF3 > BF4. We've already seen it a couple of times by people in this thread regarding the gunplay.

You can open battlebacks now since the items just appear when you get the weapon, no need to wait. Dice mentioned this on reddit.

Exp boost is GAMETIME, you can pick which one you want.

I don't think the BF3 community will go away whenever BF4 comes out. Personally, I will be jumping back to BF3 once in a while just to play my favorite BF3 maps.

Also, I hope they keep the gameplay mechanics similar between BF4 and BF3 just so it's a simple transition back and forth between the two games. I for one have the hardest time going from BF3 back to BC2, mainly because the physics were so different. I was good at BF3, but when I went back to BC2, I just got murdered, even though at one point I was pretty good at BC2.

Well I bit the bullet with the GMG coupon and am downloading now. I am not going to buy the premium stuff this time around. I have fun trying to unlock things, and I don't feel like the BF3 DLC was worth it. Sorry in advance AT squads, I am sure I will be rusty!

Played a few rounds over lunch. Game looks much better, and performance has been greatly improved - at least a 20 fps increase for me from beta at 1440P. I had to download new drivers (331.65's) as the other ones released last week gave me "disco lights" on pretty much everything. New drivers fixed it.

Movement feels sluggish coming from the beta -- like there's an acceleration delay or something. Suppression felt over the top -- worse than any game previously. Maybe there was just a lot going on, I don't know. I thought you guys were talking about how it was better in BF4. Who knows.

Can't wait to play some more!

I tried the repair install and there was no patch, but I didnt do proxy activation.
