I thought the game was going live for the entire world at the same time so it wouldn't matter where you were. Just 3am for some, 9pm for others, etc.

Well I haven't played multiplayer FPS since the last unreal tournament. I am going to suck so bad and in BF4 beta I got killed so quick before I even really saw any enemies around. Is there no noob mode where I can take a few more hits but dish out less effective rounds?

I only bought BF4 because of the hype train so this will be a steep learning curve.

The beta was in noob mode. I'd suggest you stay away from hardcore servers. >_>

We're all pretty much in the same boat so it will be fun as a lot of people will be diving in at the same level.
And about the so called "hype"...don't worry. Its all true!

I only played a bit of the campaign (through the VPN workaround), and have to say the graphics are absolutely stunning!

But FU DICE for putting M249 as a reward for completing the whole campaign!

Finally got to play some MP on my server. It's different. Seems way more frenetic and far less opportunities to find any cover, you're almost constantly under fire with the map layout, at least playing with 64 players. Not sure I like that much.

They are allowing ranked servers not using hardcore to disable 3D spotting though. I think that is probably the best way to do it. Otherwise it's a clusterfuck from what I have experienced so far.

Anyone know what the "BATTLE LOG SOL..." or "PREMIUM CUST..." things are in the battlepacks? There is no popup text and I can't figure out what the icon is supposed to be.

Well between my 3 premium battlepacks and my 3 gold battlepacks the only thing useful I unlocked was the kobra sight for the mx4 (nifty since I plan on ranking up engineer first) and the IRNV scope for the RFB. OOoooo

Dammit...caved and bought Premium. I didn't even play the last two BF3 expansions. Just waiting around for BF4 today I have talked myself into BF4 Premium, 1TB EVO and 780ti, and I haven't even played the game yet! Thank god I couldn't just walk into a store and buy the 780ti.

Oh man I hope not. I didn't love it in Beta. I played a little bit of MP just now (unfortunately on that map), and performance did seem pretty smooth with my 6850 with everything on medium (1680x1050 monitor). The game did freeze in both SP and MP though, guess I will wait a bit for the real release in the US to see how others fare.

Anyways, I hope the other maps are more fun!

I don't want to say one way or the other, there is definitely some awesome in the game. Just would like to hear what everyone else who was into 64 conquest thinks once they've spent some time with the game.
