I felt so out of place in that pistol server with my P226 when everyone else has their better pistols... But it seemed like I had better luck killing people from hip fire than I did looking through the sights. And does everyone else use mouse macros? Here I am killing my finger trying to click fast...

The 226 is a great pistol. Just don't go all out unless you are super close. I used the 226 until I got the 443. The G18 is just a spray and pray weapon but it can melt people. The 93r is the fun one until the Compact 45.

I think all these people crashing has to be graphics card related, i have not crashed at all this week.

Hmmm, liking that 780ti? I was thinking of upgrading to that from a 580sli setup.

I had a few crashes yesterday. Twice it was the graphics driver that crashed. Using a GTX 660 with the latest drivers.

It's just a trick though. The visibility isn't effected at all and there's not much water hitting you, it only seems to rain 5 ft from you.

I hate it cause I can longer spot enemies yet somehow they always know exactly where I am - I guess their commander is spotting or something

I just got ran over by an AA vehicle that was 20 feet away. Also, I heard the revive zap, and I appeared 4 seconds later as being revived.

This netcode is fantastic.

That's not the 'netcode'.

That's an oversubscribed server struggling to keep up with the game.

Apparently I must have used a boost by accident last night because I was seeing boosted scores at the end of round. Not happy about that because I want to save them for until I get better at the game and when the netcode is worked out

I'm talking (and I think others) about server crashes. My client side is stable but I get server crashes all the damn time and it's really annoying.

Love having a huge game with a boost, unlocking tons of stuff, for the server to crash with 3 minutes left and lose all progress.

To use the boosts just press escape while playing the game on the bottom right part of the screen it will say no boost or what boost you are using and how much time is left just click it and apply the one you want.

I've had my game crash only a few times, but I've experienced many server crashes.

In fact my BF4 game crashes about as often as BF3 did for me. Usually right before the crash happens everything will start to stutter significantly and graphics will glitch out, and then it'll all freeze up and I have to alt-tab to get out of the crashed game.

There's a patch coming out for PC soon that DICE claims to fix some of the crashing issues so hopefully that will help you.

Server crash is when everyone freezes and then your screen goes black with the white loading box in the upper right. I haven't had one of those in awhile. Nor have I had an actual crash in awhile either. To me the game is 99% good to go now. Which was definitely not the case the first week at all with constant server crashes and 1-2 client crashes a day.

I definitely need to go to a pistol only server and start unlocking. Really want to play with a bunch of the other pistols.

Yah love it, i had a gtx 580 before. Everything on Ultra get around 90fps. I'm going to disable shadows though, huge performance hit just for those, around %15. I guess its the soft shadows doing it.

I haven't had any crashes lately. I get a "can't connect to server" error every once in awhile, and just trying to reconnect works. I think someone reserves the slot right as I do and it doesn't go through or something.

PC Game Update Goes Live Nov 14
We are happy to report that the PC Battlefield 4 game update will go live tomorrow, November 14. The main focus of this update is threefold:

1) Reduce the number of crashes
We believe this update will solve a large portion of the most commonly occuring game crashes, and the improvement in overall stability should make a big difference for many players.

2) Eliminate a network sync bug
If you’ve been experiencing situations in multiplayer where it appears that you are taking damage from enemies through walls, you might have been the victim of a network sync bug. In this game update, we have identified and eliminated one such bug that caused this type of gameplay experience. We are continuing to work on more multiplayer optimizations concerning network performance.

3) Improve Network Smoothing
We have made some improvements to the ”Network Smoothing” functionality that you can find in the OPTIONS>GAMEPLAY menu. The Network Smoothing slider governs a group of settings that aim to produce a tighter multiplayer experience based on your specific packet loss situation.

If you’ve been experimenting with the Network Smoothing slider earlier, it might now yield better results. If you haven’t tried it before, please explore this setting and set it to the lowest value you can without experiencing graphical glitches in the game. By setting it lower, you can get a tighter multiplayer experience, depending on your specific network situation.

Besides the above mentioned focus areas, this PC game update contains a number of other fixes and tweaks that we will detail once it’s live.

This game update for PC goes live around 10AM UTC/2AM PST November 14. Your Origin Client should acknowledge and automatically download this update for you, as usual. Otherwise, you can right click your game in the client and select ”Check for Update”. There will be a Battlelog maintenance downtime for about an hour as this update goes live. During this time multiplayer on PC will be unavailable.

We will release full patch notes for this game update later, but the three items mentioned above are by far the most important changes in this update. We understand that stability has been rocky for some players, and hope that this update will make the game run smoother and more stable for you. Let us know in the comments below.

Had a lot of crashes last night. Also, my friends boat flipped upside down and stayed that way until I killed it. Normal? Theres a few little glitches here and there but at least they are targeting the big ones first.
