The best part of all of this is that some of these bugs existed in BF3 and were fixed.

It's a new engine, and it's 2 weeks into release.

Edit: There has been 2 rounds of server patches, 1 client and at least 1 driver release per platform. That's very good.

Do you really think that Frostbite 3 is an entirely new codebase from Frostbite 2?

That would be a monumental task to undertake in 2 years. It's pretty obvious that the codebase is the same, and as it evolves overtime they attach new versions to it, just like every other piece of software in existence.

I could understand bugs with the new 'destruction' or with the 'VOIP' or with 'Commander' mode, all things that are NEW to the engine since BF3. There's no reason, however, to have bugs fixed in BF3 that are not fixed in BF4, that just screams poor management.

You'd be surprised at what changing one thing could impact in a large codebase.

I haven't experienced many of the crashes you guys complain about (I haven't played today though). It isn't like every game is bug free ever, anyway.

Oh, I fully understand that risk. However, there are many tools and methods for eliminating regressions like this.

From an outsiders view, it looks like they branched the code as they started to work on BF4 and never bothered to merge any of the bugfixes from BF3 upstream.

Get in the M1A1 Abrams after selecting the HMG as secondary weapon. Enjoy the ammo box blocking the view. Switch the camera view for a workaround unless you re playing HC in which case forget driving US tanks.

If you get out and get back in it goes away.

Was able to play around 10 rounds this morning without crash until my memory locked up. No word on AMD for that driver fix...

Apparently there are a bunch of assignments that gives you another whole set of weapons that isn't shown in the battlelog. I got an MTAR-21 carbine today and there's no mention of it anywhere.

K/D slowly going up. At about 1.45 right now.

Patching the game requires a long certification process and lots of cash. I would expect EA to force DICE to include as much as they possibly can in each patch. So if the content is ready, might as well push it to the customers.

Might be it. You can't even set the MTAR on your battlelog load out. Have to do it in game at this point.

Even after completing that assignment this morning, I'm getting as incomplete in the End of Round flow.

FYI. Don't try this using the AUG. I had 3 kills with it and it was never considered an assault rifle kill. I switched to an AK-12 and I got it right away.

Same here, I'll help out too. Chasing that unlock the regular way takes a long time even without crashes.

Also, when you select a server, do you guys see the info right away? I mean the ticket count for both teams for example if it's a conquest server. For me it's just DICE's square and underscore forever where the ticket info should be. Hate going into rounds that are moments before ending or into steamrolled battles.

Mine works. Just set it to the default recording device and you should be good as far as BF4 is concerned. I was surprised I didnt need to do anything to get it working.

How the hell do you fix the lag/rubberbanding? The game is unplayable until I get this sorted.
