Yup, Hainan is just a terrible map, although it's good for attack fighters.

I have a blast on Hainan...though it might have been in mostly infy only maps...hmmm, need to try it out.

they cant do anything but pester armor because the laser missle is broke as hell(ie hard as hell to aim properly and fly the chopper, or I really suck I guess ), and you NEED AA missles on the map due to how open it is and the 2xjets on each team

I was speaking generally about the Little Bird. What I said applies most strongly to Dawn Breaker, then maybe Shang Hai, but that is their primary job. On Hainan, I always just ignore the jets. They'll probably outrun your missiles anyway, and they're either so good that there's nothing you can do about them or they're largely irrelevant to your presence. The laser guided is a huge bitch, but I still use it. Just assume you won't kill anything and it's just there for supporting fire. I wish it wouldn't lock onto empty vehicles that are next to manned vehicles though, that's super annoying. I really only take sidewinders if the other little bird pilot is really really good, or he has supporting engineers, or the map has minimal ground assets to worry about (like Flood Zone).

I was on parcel with a top 10% jet pilot the other day and he taught me(Ie OWNED ME) that the LB's are fodder for the jets, in one well lined up burst he could kill me at will

There just isn't enough ground cover on Hainan or Golmud for infantry to operate effectively outside of camping the hotel in Hainan or the mini-village to the north of Golmud.

I like Parcel as infantry even if it is boat central. I feel like I can move between A, B, and C without too much pain and there's usually action on the island with A and B.

A server I played the other days had Admins saying is a dice server bug. And they are aware but can't do nothing till dice fixes it.

One thing I noticed after the patch it takes several seconds for a gun and gadgets and anything to "activate". I can move around, but that's it. Pretty annoying if I spawn into firefight.
Also, ground textures seem to initially appear as lower than low quality, and suddenly switch to proper form after a few seconds.

I've found that for me switching weapons or pushing the trigger usually gets its to show up. Doesn't help when spawning into a firefight but I just die instantly anyway...

Good games tonight. I enjoyed surviving our suicide charge and running over 5 infantry nicely lined up for us. (Fair future warning - I can get suicidal occasionally in a vehicle)

And I do think 75 is the default and I think you may be unable to go over 100

Well, I've got the game in a runnable state I think. If any more AT folks want to add me, I'm usually running about on Railway. I'm going to stick with one map for now and slowly get used to everything.

Interesting, they updated the test range so that you can test all the pickup weapons. Also, the new Nvidia drivers seem to give a better graph when using SLI, meaning more consistent in game fps.

That was pretty fun. Double the ticket count and it would've been great. Don't worry about being suicidal in vehicles, it's Rush, it's chaos.

Its because boosts will add extra onto ranks even if you are 100.

I am not sure if it means you get all previous premium battlepacks but when I signed up for premium early this week I immediately got 2 premium battlepacks which I assumed were from previous weeks
