They're going for the same price but OOS everywhere.

I think everyone's been stocking up on them because of the bitcoin/litecoin craze. I hear that people are getting ridiculous values for their old 7950/70s and equivalent on ebay right now.

Reviews have the GTX770 slightly faster but the R9 280x has 3gb of vram. Is it worth holding out for the 280x to come in stock?

I have hit the 2GB limit on my cards with everything on Ultra, but I dont run it those settings anymore so its not an issue. I guess it depends on what settings you want to run on. There is also the potential of Mantle. I think you will most likely be fine with either the 770 or 280x. I was playing fine (90fps) on a single 680 2GB on high settings and some things turned off (AO and Motion blur, and FXAA instead of MSAA).

I like shadowplay, and I'm going with Gsync when the module becomes available, so I favor NV cards, but for BF4 the 280x might end up a better solution.

Got a notice at my work (We sell computers) saying we're holding onto our stock of 280x due to shortage lol.

Yea, I had it available today. I don't know, the 1911 fires faster than the .44 magnum, but the .44 will be an instant kill with headshots.

I just played 2 rounds of 1500 tickets with the 1911. It sucks, but I'm persistent enough to work towards that damn scope.

Sheesh, I was relieved the double XP week was over. I know I dont have to play, but its just too enticing. LOL

Yeah, I was looking forward to taking a break. Its tempting to go to level 110 though. I was going up one level a round with 50% and 100% boosts. One round I went up two!

Do any of you record gameplay and post it online? What do you use to do it? Who knows, maybe I could get enough views to get paid, and I enjoy playing so why not give it a shot.

You should. Your footage would probably be as good as levelcap and xfactor. I just record it to look back at it later. Sometimes to analyze bs, but mostly I dont use it for anything. Well, sometimes I use it for test footage for work, but when I tried the montage thing no one was interested. With Shadowplay there is no real performance hit, so it doesnt hurt anything to record.

You might need an angle though. Most of the successful BF channels are somewhat instructional, which is BS cause they can't really teach what they can do. Or you need to be a decent editor or know someone who is.

Thats a great idea Childs.

But what about video disk space? With the amount I play a night I imagine I would have to stop and delete videos every once in a while

With shadowplay 5 min is only 2GB at 1080p60 (47Mbps). You can also reduce the quality (therefore file size), especially if your goal is Youtube. You can configure DXtory to use x264 codec in a similar way with little overhead. You can store a ton of footage on a spare disk drive. The good thing about the h264 solutions is that you dont need fast storage. Fraps and Dxtory with other codecs really effect your frame rate due to CPU and I/O needed for recording.

I wouldnt record everything unless you actually want to. I set up shadowplay to record the last 5 minutes when I hit a button. Otherwise scrubbing through full games takes too much time when you just want to look at specific moments.

You know Childs, this is a very reason that we need battlerecorder back. Cause sometimes you have an awesome game but shadow play is too limited on how much you can record.

Well, battlerecorder would be nice, but you are actually always recording with Shadowplay. Its just a matter of configuring how much you want to record. Shadow mode maxes out at 20 min, but you can always use manual mode and record till you tell it to stop.

But yeah, battlerecorder would be even better. Thats one feature COD used to have that I wished was in the recent Battlefields. I liked stepping through and changing perspectives. It helped me learn the map strategies faster.

OMFG, the UCAV breaks the game completely. Kids going 30-0 every map spamming it endlessly. Kills tanks in 2 hits, kills jeeps, choppers, planes, etc in one. Kills the crap out of infantry with ease. Just need a few other support guys to drop ammo packs with you and you all sit and spam. Game is literally ruined with the UCAV and SUAV.

I don't see people using them at all when I play. shrug

Is there a way to get Shadowplay to just keep recording until I stop? Like once it fills one 20 minute video (which is the max it allows) then automatically start recording next video from that point on?
