I don't know if it will be better than BF3 gameplay wise, but the little things they fixed in BF4 is something to behold, it has lots of stuff BF3 was PROMISED from the start (commander mode, VOIP(?), easier layouts, better squads, etc). Also from the videos i've seen, the game just looks a lot better than BF3 was at start, not sure if all these people in youtube videos are on LAN or internet, but it smoother (remember the animation messed up, lag, etc).

The little things are impressive to me as well, random pickups on field, status bars, water looks fantastic, etc.

It just looks really polished vs BF3.

Now is it going to be better? Who knows, but I see more hype with this than BF3 did simply because of things I mentioned. They have been know to mess things up, promise things and never deliver, but i'm hoping its going to be funnsies. But this time around I'm holding off upgrading GPU and stuff just to make sure I enjoy it.

Dice promised a option to remove it after community outcry. They reneged a month later after being completely silent about it and claimed it was because it would tamper with their artists vision of the game.

Steam would absolutely bring more sales. EA wants to control everything right to the user though, so we get Origin instead.

Purchase only, but the price of Premium has gone down since BF3's release. It does take time for the price to drop though... so if you have interest in the extra content, you might as well buy it anywhere you can get it on sale, or just accept the $50 pricetag.

I just got the digital deluxe version, the one that has the Chinese exp pack. Was only $10 more.

I don't care about Premium stuff. Not many got it with Bf3.

The only thing i'm waiting to see is during beta if my system is ok for it, by all accounts its not any worse than BF3 so might not have to upgrade. Waiting to see what AMD has to offer next month before making a decision on it. If the AMD card is nothing, might just get a GTX 780, my GTX 580 is showing its age, even though it plays all games really well still.

Of course it would bring more sales, but how is EA wanting control of thier games any different than Valve's control through Steam? And not just Valve's own games but everyone else's to boot!

yeah, I'm guessing4 million people is a significant portion of the BF3 playing population.

I've been playing it this month since I will have to use Origin anyways, and very few people i've encountered in game have it. In fact, not many people play BF3 at all anymore, I only have two filters up, punkbuster and region and only maybe 5 full servers tops.

Yep. That is how games works.

In the beginning lots of people play it. Then a lot quit either because they give up or don't like it.
