I took a few months off in silent protest of all the teamwork features missing from the game, primarily, working squad comm's. The release of CTF in End Game "pulled me back in".

Could not help myself and decided to preorder the deluxe edition,told myself i wouldn't but with the majority of you popping into beta today i really felt left out.:|

Drivers nvidia just put out are already installed,game is preloaded and i am looking at the clock every 15 seconds and i'm attempting to stay awake till 9am so maybe someone can slap me awake.:biggrin:

Used to pull all night game shifts years ago but long are the days of 3 monster energy drinks,3 bags of candy and enough doritoes in a evening to sink a ship.Hope BF4 can bring some excitement and keep me awake.()

Battlelog feels really nice and refreshing. It has a touch of Windows 8's Metro UI.

I still can't get the game to install. It goes to 20%, then 28, then 40 briefly blinks, and then I am back at the beginning looking at install button. FFS!

Ok, played a few minutes, and first impressions are quite good gameplay wise. The deployment map is a huge improvement, hit detection was not bad which is good considering the early beta.

Performance needs some work. I found it hard to average 60fps with the specs in my sig, but I suspect this is largely due to not having proper SLI support since my GPU usage was around 50% for both cards, with the exception of the deployment map where they both went to 99% and there was quite a bit stuttering in the game, but I'm sure that will be addressed with the combination of driver updates and bug fixes in the game itself.

It is a CPU HOG!!! Make no mistake about it, i7 3770k @ 4.2 and utilization was in the mid 60's the entire time, which also translates to > 4 threads.

A few bugs I found, besides the stuttering was that at one point I was deployed outside the battle zone and had to sprint back into the combat zone before the game killed me.

Had a little bit of trouble connecting, but it wasn't too bad, and I did get a couple disconnects too.

As far as my settings:

Ultra w/4xMSAA
1920x1200
VRAM usage around 1.6GB

3770K@4.5 and a 780@1201 kept me in the 50-60fps range with all settings maxed out, 4x MSAA included. It was using about 2.4 gigs of Vram. There was some hitching here and there though, the game still needs some optimizing.

Hoping for a day one patch,i was dipping as low as the 30s during big explosions,this is 1366x768 ultra no msaa with the specs in my sig....msi ab shows very low gpu usage but i see my i5 spiking well above 80% usage....so many high pingers in the 200 range too it seemed made it a unenjoyable experience.

I see the game being good with the final release and a patch but honestly right now i am not sure what in the hell is causing constant dips into the 40s and 50fps,low gpu usage and a very low gaming resolution should be yielding hell of a lot more frames then what i am currently getting.
