What's the point of having a beta if half the people can't run it properly??
Do you know what a beta is?

I had some issues trying to join a server Bacon was in, the game would load but wouldnt let spawn anywhere....then it loaded and stuck on a black screen... then it loaded, let me spawn, and then promptly crashed. Tried another server and things went smoothly. Good ol' betas, they keep things interesting.Well, I got in. Don't know what happened the first time...
Anubis,what cpu you using?
You seem to have confirmed the fact that my i5 2500 is officially useless, the second picture with your frames at 89 in itself confirm a major cpu bottleneck with my gtx770...even low 1366x768 i can't even touch 80 fps unless i am sitting in the freaking menu lol and i register incredibly low gpu usage.
Ive seen frames well over 100 with that cpu. (unless yours isnt a 2500K)Anubis,what cpu you using?

Game is pretty much Battlefield 3.5.
The Good and the Bad
- Health regeneration still(why)
- ammo pool still (why)
- no squad leader orders
- same fundamentally flawed 4 class setup
- infinite vehicle ammo (why)
- vehicle health regen, pretty sure it actually happens faster (why)
- levelution is useless. It doesn't actually change much. Its another example of the michael bay effect. More explosions and effects = makes the game good.
The destruction sequence is scripted, and the targets needed to trigger script is always the same. Its not like the building is failing under its own weight because the engine says so, its 4 pillars that trigger the script. It also actually looks terrible because the script doesn't allow the engine to do the actual destruction, it manages it and so particles appear and disappear as the script says it should. Looks extremely derpy.
- maps are still tiny as hell
- Gunplay is pretty much the same as BF3, movement itself seems a bit slower.
- Menus are still extremely console optimized. Slows navigation down drastically.
Here's the good stuff
- soflam is handheld and the laser isn't as obvious
- lens flare is drastically reduced (thank god, amazing how much more fun a game is when you can actually see)
- there's actual recoil now (Holy crap, something GOOD)
- suppression is for lmg/hmg only (still a pretty shitty game mechanic)
- engineers seems to have shitty guns so they aren't assault + rpg. Massive issue in BF3
- Spawn screen itself allows you to click on where to spawn. Apparently an amazingly difficult feature to implement
Bugs wise
- Having some issues with projectiles going through things without hitting anything. I fired an RPG at a wall to destroy is, and it went right through it and projectile disappeared.
- Chinese tank has advanced shielding that prevents it from getting hit by RPG's.
Nothing too amazing, treat it as a balance patch for BF3.
