This last weekend I got to shoot a gun almost identical to an M98B. Made by the same company, same caliber, same kind of rifle, just a newer model. Needless to say I had a smile on my face. Oh, by the way, unless you have bionic arms, you can't run around with the damn thing and shoot stuff as it weighs over 20lbs. Prone position was fabulous with that sexy lady.
Trigger smooth as silk and breaks like glass. LOUD BOOM! Stupidly accurate. EXPENSIVE!

The only upgrade for now (let's see what happens when the game releases) is a hyper 212 plus to run my 2500k at 4.5. It's been running 4.2 off the retail fan for a year now, so 4.5 should be doable. After playing the beta and listening to feedback, I'm expecting that cpu usage will be high so trying to get every last bit out of the 2500k. I considered a 3770k for about 5 minutes (the time it took to add up the cost of the new parts), but it just doesn't make any fiscal sense given the 2500k's OC.

I'm going to start the game with my 7970 (running GE bios), but if I'm not happy with 1440 performance, that will be the part that's upgraded. I'll also consider Win8 if we find out that the retail game will run better.

OK, got my new 840 EVO SSD installed and running. Samsung's data migration tool was found lacking, had to use Acronis to clone my boot drive.
First thingI installed in Win8 was classic shell. WOrks like a charm. Now to try BF3. (oops, totally forgot about 8.1)

Just video card is what i need to upgrade, cpu is plenty fast, and got SSD already. I think lots are in limbo about what card to get currently. People trying to decide what card is going to be worth it the 290x or 780ti. Whatever one is better, its going to be two different release dates, but so close together its frustrating. lol

I just noticed that when you saved a Battle Report at end of a match, it actually shows SPH increase of decrease. That is pretty cool. I wonder why they don't show that as default on SPH screen.

Boarderlands 2 did it more realistic than anyone. Just get that if you want detailed modern weapons and realistic gameplay.

I find that a bit small, I thought there would be more.

That's almost 120 weapons though, more than plenty imo.

I think I remmber hearing BF3 had 80-90, though I'm not sure if that figure is counting nades/knives/etc. But either way, BF4 is at least on par. Not that number of weapons really matters but I know people get wrapped up in those kinds of useless comparisons

In the SP trailer I laughed so hard at the soldier punching the German Shepperd in the face....an obvious jab at COD Ghosts. Also, I have to give DICE props because graphically that trailer blew me away.

Same here. I dont get their logic, why not make more sales by allowing people to purchase something we want with their codes. I got an email a day or so ago from them for 25% off the new Batman game but I didnt even try it to see if it worked, as I have no interest in it.

Pre-load will be at least 24 hours before the game launches (if you ordered on Origin). My question is how soon before game launchs will Amazon(BF4) and GMG(Premium) send me my keys to enable me to start downloading?
