In BF3, you can designate servers as premium and presumably, if you do not have the premium pack, you can not join.

In BF4, I only bought the base game but have not premium. Does anyone know if they will have "premium" servers from day one? And if so, will I be able to join them (I most certainly have all the maps through the first expansion).

You can join any server as long as you have the access to the map currently playing, if the next map is Premium content that you do not have then you will be kicked.

Everyone will be "base players" until the first Premium DLC releases.

You're supposed to "redeem product code". Then enter the serial number in the email sent to you by GMG.

You should then see BF4 in your Games library. Click preload.

thx got it. I assume I can do away with Capsule altogether?

I'm seeing conflicting sources about what is the Air to air jet for the US faction. Some said the F35, some like BF4central said F22. Maybe we will have both in the game?

Hard to believe that once suppression wasn't an issue, I remember DICE adding it some time ago and it sucked, even snipers causes huge suppression.

Preloading just started here 2 hours ago. My internet sucks ass, and I am at 50kb/sec. 119 hours left, give or take. I leave for Africa on the 31st at 1700. There is a pretty good chance I won't get this before I go. I wanted to at least play the single player while being there, no chance of multi. I'll be gone a month. Looks like it won't happen. Fuck!

That's kind of the whole point, so that whomever starts shooting first has a distinct advantage and forcing you to move to cover instead of firing back. Unlike the bf4 beta which resulted in half of close range shoot-outs resulting in simultaneous kills.

its a stupid point, they already blurred your vision and slowed your movement

if you need more than that + the drop on someone to win a battle....well.... you suck.

This mechanic was abused and broken heavily by people not only jumping around corners, but firing way before they rounded a corner. You can see the effects most clearly with a pump shotgun.

Player 1 begins blindly firing before rounding a corner.
Player 2 has a shotgun and is in "suppression range" (he is being suppressed by gunfire that is around the corner)
Player 1 maintains accuracy while round the corner.
Player 2 sees player 1, tries to fire, and his shot goes off 75 degrees from where he was actually pointing.

That is very frustrating. No explanation or indication to player 2 why he would have been suppressed to begin with.

Don't forget guys you can open BattlePacks right now as well. I had 7 waiting for me. rofl I had %100 exp boost for two hours, and 2 %50 boosts for one hour. nice

Except that the lower TTK in BF3 makes moving back to cover fairly difficult.
Also it rewards people who aren't even hitting you. If you get hit, no suppression effect, if the other guy is missing every single shot, you get suppressed.

Awesome and so much fun to not be able to see anything.

1) Game time played (from the beta experience)

2) The items from packs are all random except for the Premium/Veteran packs (sample size 2 from the shared packs feed on battlelog)

I would just open them up as you get them, you might get a nice sight for a weapon that you use a lot. I would love to have the EXP ones to not apply right away but only apply when you activate them.
