Using my ipad as a minimap is pretty cool. I just need to get some sort of stand for it so it can be right next to my monitor.

They make iPad holders that clip on to mic stands. That way you can sit it next to your desk and adjust the height of it.

What res are you running at by chance?

Also, has anyone messed with the res scaler for supersampling in the video settings yet? I cranked it up to 200% and it was a literal slide show. I think I'm running the game at 130% now but I have yet to monitor the frame rate yet.


At any rate, the game looks and feels more like BF2 (which is my fave BF game to date) but I still suck so some things never change.

Anyone running into the issue of throwing a grenade and pulling up the console command window each time? So annoying, and there seems to be no bindings to unbind in the controls settings. Is it a bug, and is anyone else running into this? I rebound my "throw grenade" key to B and it's extremely annoying.

I and my friends (four of us last night) had zero issues of rubberbanding/server lag during the entire night of playing. Sounds like it might be something on your end.


Graphics (lighting in particular) are a noticable improvement. Sound is even better. Biggest change is map design; levels are more fluid, more vertical, and there are no clusterfucks like the stairs in Metro. I'm digging the map design (if not my gaming performance :'()

Nah everyone is complaining about it on servers, its something wrong with serverside. Dice employee confirmed it on reddit that its a known issue and should be solved before weeks end.

Yeah its server specific, if you get on one of those just leave and try another.

Mostly off topic but I have to say I am enjoying CoD's commercials more than BF4's

I do believe the Prison map is gonna be a favorite, had a very nice game of conquest there. The TDM games I tried I sucked at, mainly because I dont know the maps yet and some of those guys were level 9 already and just camping it up in all the best spots. LOL

Last night I check the leaderboards and there were guys already level 19 with almost 900,000 points. Operation Locker and Flood Zone are blood baths in Domination. So much noob tube and airburst spam. I was trying to advance one corridor and I swear there was 8 grenades on the floor.

One thing I find annoying is Windows keeps trying to change the graphics performance, and it induces a crash. Other than that its been running pretty good, except I didnt get my Veteran Battlepack. And when I quit a game at the end of the round I lose my progress. It only seems to save it when I start the next round then quit.

I'm on W7 HP x64. core parking? pardon my ignorance but i don't even know what that means, but I will research it tonight. I'm assuming that this is done under power options in the CP?

First 3 servers I've joined have crashed......

Edit 1: Make that 4.
Edit 2: Now nothing is showing up in my server browser.
Edit 3: Don't use filters in your server browser apparently. I also switched to 48 player servers and I haven't had any issues yet.

Rush on Shanghai drops so many frames when you are in the second stage (underground shops). I was playing in the low 40s. Then after 10 mins of fighting the and someone finally armed the bomb, the server crashed! I guess today will be the real stress test of their backend.

That makes sense, because we were all playing the same server. Thanks for the heads up so I wont' think I'm crazy if I run across it tonight.

Can't get battlescreen working. You need an internet connection to load battlelog on the tablet. Open battlescreen and it says no connection...

Other than that one server with the rubber banding issue and some audio drops, Ive had a great playing experience today.

Looks much better than BF3 to me.

Loved playing Conquest on the Golmud Railway map.
