What exactly happened?
In cases like these it's usually not hacking but rather either having someone guessed someone elses password, mailbox compromised, or similar crap... Needless to say, it sucks, and the end result is you're screwed.
Nonsense! My Origin account was hacked by some Russian douche last year and a simple phone call to EA support had my account back in less than 10 minutes. But I didnt call them up to tell them their game was a buggy POS.

Try the 25mm cannon on the little bird, more damage and splash damage.

Well that explains why I always seem to die from the scout helicopters instead of the attack choppers

It's not a bug. It is most people defibbing the bare minimum so you're on the verge of dying again instantly. I've been trying more and more to give people full defibs so they can hopefully get to a safer spot after coming back.

Wait - what? Thats a thing? How do you 'full defib'?

They need to buff the damage of the AT rocket vs vehicle, especially attack boats because one can rack up so many kills by having active protection and rocket only does 14 damage to the side of a thin skin boat.

Attack boats yes - most other vehicles no.

Haven't had that issue with boats. Their movement is super easy to predict and extra gunners are easy to pick off.

Agreed about the extra gunners. Plus it seems many drivers just want to coast slowly on their way or drive in straight lines while their poor gunners get shot to shreds

BTW, avoid -SOC- (LA based one) server because it is always lopsided 600+ to 0.
The starter rocket does 5 damage to the big boat.

5 damage.

I was on a server with Exterous, that I kept getting disconnected every 5 minutes. Went to another server and was on it for hours..
Reccommended server:

Name: =KZN= All Maps Conquest
Address: 173.199.94.165 Port: 30010
Server Manager: None - Claim Now
Player limit: 20

The fast attack boat needs to be nerfed, people rack up so many kills with that thing and it takes like 5-6 engineers or a chopper to take it out.
Try the 25mm cannon on the little bird, more damage and splash damage.

There's someone I know that went like 39-0 in a match then 33-1 in the next match then 45-0 in the next match hogging that chopper (and he already has almost 100 hours played in 2 weeks).

I don't crash at all, a few times i've crashed but was just me screwing around in Chrome.

Maybe 5 times total.

I really suspect its peoples configs they use and not the game itself.

Just picked this up this weekend (finally had more than 30 minutes to game, lol).

I really like a lot of it, but several things confuse me.

Whether I have everything set to ultra, or everything set to dead minimum, the game runs ... chuggy at best in game. 'Test range' runs like silk, but on an actual server, even with like 2 other players .. lag. I guess it could be my ISP, haven't played BF3 here.

Sound seems like it goes in and out frequently. I'm using an X-fi. It only happens with this one game, and again only in active MP.

Tanks feel a ton different than BF3. I guess no more driver-based proximity scan? That sucks, will probably make things tough once more people have c4 unlocked. IRNV and Thermal imaging also seems nerfed through the freaking FLOOR this time. It was awesome in BF3, but in BF4 it seems nearly useless. The first one (IRNV I think) makes everything green and you can sort of see some things better. It still sucks somewhat but it at least works. The next one, Thermal Imaging, makes everything blindingly white, I mean EVERYTHING. It's like playing with the gamma turned up to a million. Is it just me or is it that bad for everyone?

I really want this game to work smoothly, but it just isn't.

2700K @ 5Ghz
16GB DDR3-1866 (~2000 OC)
SLI 670FTW 4GB
Raid 512GB 840 Pros
Intel Gbit PCIe Network Card
Playing at 1920x1200

BF3 ran ludicrously well all on Ultra. BF4 runs like smashed buttholes.

have you updated GPU Drivers?

you need the newest.

recon has c4 from get go

prox wull unlock eventually, but it might be a gunner perk, instead of driver

audio is a known bug, I mostly lose the ambient noises, its kinda eery and helpful

Yep, latest drivers. Nov 9th I think? I even tried removing one of the 679s, installing a totally fresh install of Windows, drivers and BF4 on my old Vector, and even at 1280x720 all set to low it is choppy as hell.

I have the gunner prox unlocked, but it does me no good as a driver lol.

I tried canister shell, good GOD did they set a massive lag time before you can use it. I guess they felt tanks were OP in BF3. Shells seem to arc much more in this game too. I'm getting used to it, and it actually helps you shoot enemies over hills that are out of sight, but it takes some adjustment.

Hopefuilly the patches get things going better. I've yet to experience a single crash, but the game just plays like garbage online. This is over a couple dozen different servers.

Try to unpark cpu cores. Just do a quick google search or it's somewhere earlier in this thread. It sounds like that is your problem.

I did that already. First thing actually, my brother told me about it. Cores 0, 1, and 2 were 'parked'. Used the utility, rebooted, problems still every single game. I'll lug my rig over to my brother's place at some point to confirm if it's my ISP here. Before I moved I had Fios Quantum, and it was fantastic. Now I have Cable, and it's pretty bad. BF3 still runs great though.

I haven't tried anything but BF4 '64-bit' though. Should I try the 32-bt version?

Heh, check out these videos demonstrating the netcode/lag in bf4:

http://bf4central.com/2013/11/new-videos-show-just-bad-battlefield-4-net-code/

I feel like the first situation is my experience MOST of the time.

Could poor FPS be my problem?

I have FIOS Internet and I end up having pings under 10 on the servers I join. But when I show FPS I see it dip under 60 often especially the bigger maps. And it's the bigger maps or when all of shit is going on when I really have the "poor netcode" symptoms.

I have a i7 860 system w/ geforce 670. I ordered a second 670 and plan to use SLI in desperation for better FPS. I already put all my GFX settings to LOW or OFF.

I suspect my poor system performance is what is causing me to feel the lag in game where I am shooting a guy and he doesnt get hit or I duck behind a corner and a full second or two later I am killed by the guy shooting from the other side. I think my system is not drawing updates fast enough. Does that make any sense?

Its the only reason I can come up with because some people are playing just fine and dont complain about netcode and from the people who play exceptionally well I have observed that their pings are sometimes low sometimes high - there is no consistency there.

Friend suspects netcode actually favors high ping players giving them an edge so I tested this by joining servers in europe and asia so I can get 150+ ping and its quite worse as I expected

i generally play on the U Rock gaming servers, they have always been reliable for me

They banned me in BF3, i guess it rolled over to BF4 cause still can't play on them. The reason was because I accused a admin of cheating. classy.

Also did you try to disable SLI?

Yep. Just to be sure, I physically removed it, removed the X-fi, disconnected my 840 pros, installed a clean install of Windows + latest drivers, no software at all, and then loaded BF4, ran all at low and the lowest res my monitor will display (1280x720). Then I tried all stock CPU, memory settings. No change. Then I tried the core unpark again. No change. Last thing before removing the Vector was to try system restore before GPU Drivers, and tried two other drivers. One of them gave a CTD after a minute or so, but all of the things I tried ended with the same problems. Just boggy, choppy, and often rubber bandy play in an active MP game. 'Test range' is always perfect.

What's also bizarre is that when I'm in a tank, just driving over tiny obstacles makes my screen vibrate and shudder. It's not like being offroad with normal bumps. It's like being inside a jackhammer at 10,000rpm.

Looks like it's a connection/network issue if you are having rubber banding, and other things you are talking about.

I haven't had any chugging/stuttering issues like this. Can you try disabling Origin in-game overlay and see if that helps?

I still get crashes unfortunately. Either the game freezes with audio stuttering, or bf4.exe crashes with msvc10.dll error.

Yeah. What's annoying is my ping will be like 20-50 depending on the server I join, and it just runs like crap.

I fired up BF3 again a few minutes ago and it had zero problems. Ditto Cod4 lol, though that's older than my balls

Combo of my internet + BF4 makes it basically unplayable.

Tried that, also closing all web browsers, no AV, disabling unneeded services, for the most barebones situation possible. Bah. I'm not sure what would be worse, being able to play it effectively until you crash, or being able to play it, but feel like you've got massive seizures while you're playing.
