the U rock servers are not lag free, it really seems to be map dependent IMO, but they are generally pretty good

ive only been killed by people aimbotting or shooting through walls a cpl times

I refused to pay full price for BF4 because I ended up paying $120 for BF3 ($60 base game + $60 premium).

Only put 60 hours into BF3, so I needed to average the cost out with BF4. Luckily I just grabbed BF4 for $20. Let's hope it is good.

I like how my computer can reboot faster than it takes for BF4 to exit. So whenever the game crashes or I want to rage quit I just mash the reset switch lol.

Haha so true. When I crash when exiting I am glad I bypass the unloading screen, a feeling similar to seeing someone stepped on mines you placed awhile ago and forgot about them.

Well, this double XP thing is almost too much XP. Today I played for around 7 hours and went from rank 48 to 78 using a couple of 200% boosts which, when combined with the double XP, gives you 600% XP. This means that conquest service starts are worth 60k rather than 10k and you earn them far quicker. My SPM was already in the low 700's, now it's over 1440! I was pretty excited at first on how fast I was ranking, now I'm almost wishing I had not ranked that far. Another day like that and I'll be getting into the high 80's.

I just added a second 7970 and installed a fresh copy of win 8.1, now I'm crashing to desktop every round after joining the server. I did the dxsetup as suggested in http://www.reddit.com/r/Battlefield/comments/1q14u9/bf4_i_have_multiple_fixes_that_make_the_game_90/, updated punkbuster, etc.

Currently running 13.11 beta 9.4 drivers but also tried 13.9. Does 13.11 actually support 7970? It says here http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop?os=Windows+7+-+64

anyone got any suggestions? It's not related to crossfire, as I still have the same problems with one 7970 installed.

Levelling speed is totally wrong in BF4. It could work if they didn't put those XP boosts in, but this is just ridiculous. 200% boosts are totally ridiculous, and boosts stacking with the global ones, that's just plain fucked up.
We already have armies of level 110+ shitbuckets running around.

was it an admin ban or did the bot auto ban you? they might have the auto ban set to low on K/D

Ive yet to see one of these 200% boosts, all I ever get are 25 and 50's.

I agree all this boosting stuff makes the leveling of ranks and unlocking stuff even more useless than before. Why bother with it all, just give us everything and let us play however we want from the get go.

i suck and still am getting a level every game or so (mid 20's). Its just pointless and stupid IMO. All you have ot do is run around and drop medpacks and get 20-30 medkit ribbons and its a level up. Operation locker is great for that

Levels are moot, who cares if you are 110 or 50? Does the 110 do more damage? Do they have more health?

You can have any weapon/attachment open by around level 40, less if you only want a couple classes. I had most everything I wanted by 30.

With my I7 Nvidia 660 Ti 16GB Ram I had no problems.

My son with his AMD 6 Core, AMD 7770, 8GB ram he kept crashing every game or sooner. May be the memory leak issue that people have been complaining about. Will look into it later today.

We are both on Win7.

Yeah, I am likely going to just stop using the boosts. They either need to get rid of them completely, or double every rank XP needed. Or, they could go like BF3 and make another 100 ranks after the top one that are just various levels of colonel but require a lot of xp to go up each one.

I dunno, just seems too fast.

Recent server patches improved things considerably, but it's still not 100%.
A client patch is most probably being released this week, so things might get better.
Generally, I would say it's very playable.
