bf4 has been unacceptably bugged since launch, sorry dice but i regret the $100 and haven't touched the game for months

Same here except I have reinstalled it a couple times to test things out and found the general condition to be even worse off then it was at launch. I never had crashes or sound problems until the last patch, which made it technically unplayable. Not only that but the 300-500 ms lag is just as bad as ever.

I just hit 100 last night at 139hrs, now I can finish off the assignments that were locked before.

No point in buying the pistol upgrade if I have them all unlocked already, right?

I kinda feel bad for the people who are having problems with the game, I am having a blast playing it. Termie and I had some decent games last night.

I think the key to pistols is to not aim down the sight, rather shoot from the hip. I seem to get more kills this way. Also, HC servers are better for pistol only.

Yeah, I did the same thing. Jumped on a Pistol Only HC server during a 2XP weekend and applied a 200% xp boost so getting all the unlocks wasn't too painful.

Yeah, having additional flanking routes is great but then they ruin it by having single player-sized doorways creating natural choke-points. Equally perplexing is DICE's refusal to allow the walls surrounding the doorways to be destroyed. Would alleviate much of the choke-point problem.

I've had my fair share of game issues, including the sound loop crash a few days ago, but honestly, 99% of the time, I'm having fun playing the game. It would be interesting to try to do a poll of the problems people are having and the systems they are using. I wonder if it's a Win7/Win8 or Radeon/GeForce issue, for instance. Also look at network type (DSL/Cable, wired/wireless, etc.) and bandwidth.

There's got to be a reason some people can barely play the game while others have a good experience the majority of the time.

A guess based on the posts talking about persistent problems, in those signatures, the systems usually have 8GB of RAM and a lower end MB, I dunno if that holds water or not.

Or the sig does not have systems specs, so we have no way to compare what they are playing it on to what we non-issue people play it on.

Dang, I was hoping some of the destruction would allow for changing things up a bit, but looks like that isn't the case for Metro.

I only play Metro for the F2000, and since I already got in the first game of Metro, I'm done with that map forever.

Great until the huge dust storm rolls in, then you cant see shit.

Im anxious to hear how everyone's machines handle all this smoke and dust on Oman and Firestorm after all the complaints about fps drops on previous maps, mine seemed to do ok. However I did notice something on Oman, but Im not sure if it was frame rate drop or just plain network old lag because it only lasted for a few seconds.

Re: Weapon unlocks in Second Assault

For the DAO-12 and the F2000 the requirements are as follows:

F2000
EXPRESS TRAIN
Assault Rifle Ribbon x1
Kill Assist Ribbon x2
Get 10 kills inside the Metro

DAO-12
DEAD STOP
Shotgun Ribbon x1
Raise or lower the Caspian Border Gate

Are these required to be all taken in a round? I just played three rounds of Metro (ugh) and completed all of Express Train (over 2 rounds) and the first half of the reqs for the DAO-12. However, the assignments aren't showing up as completed on Battlelog. Is there a delay?

In comparison to what other game? I haven't played anything released recently that is better than BF4.

Heh, I haven't played anything recently that is WORSE than BF4. Not even just recently...I'd say going all the way back to the when I started playing FPS's in the early 90's. It's total junk to me. The gunplay, movement, maps...all are horrible to me. The bugs are just icing on the cake.

Here's one example of a recent game I think is infinitely better than BF4...BF3!

That's just my opinion of it though. I'm sad that I spent $70 on it, but I'm glad that BF3 is still around so I can enjoy it.
