The server browser (via Origin I guess) seems completely borked to me. I test it in the morning where I have a few favorites saved, each of which have people in them. Yet when I look for servers via the server browser, 99% of what I see is completely empty (looking at both US and European servers). I've tinkered with filters, I've left them at default, and it's all the same. It's very frustrating. I know there are people playing, yet the browser refuses to show me where everyone is.

Is there an app/browser (as there was in the ole days) separate from Origin that lets me filter through games?

When you say origin, I assume you mean battlelog? Do you try the advanced setting to make sure everything is unchecked? If you find a full server you can try joining and just wait in queue.

Well I just saw the megalodon shark in game on the Nansha Strike map and it was a pretty epic easter egg. I heard a couple of guys in my squad say they were going for it as soon as the game started so I just sit back and watched. I didnt know it but I was in the perfect spot to see it leap straight out at me with gaping jaws, HOLY SHIT!!! LOL

I looked it up on youtube afterwards, here's a link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V-WladmrdNQ

Cod attack dogs have nothing on a freaking Megalodon in BF4. Now i get why the support guy in Battlefield friends made such a big deal about this Megalodon. Now he can get his apology on a silver platter for the others telling him to shut up about it.:awe:

Carrier assault is decent, but I think I like conquest more still.

Its been getting better. This last weekend I've had a lot more matches that stayed close even after a carrier was breached. Maybe the instant death on breach was just people needing to learn about where to spawn.

It's about time they brought this feature out
http://blogs.battlefield.com/2014/04/bf4-loadout-presets/

Going into battle prepared is key to succeeding in Battlefield 4. With the new Loadout Presets, we’ve made it easier for you to quickly hit the Battlefield with the exact kit and vehicle Loadout of your choice.

Prepared 4 Battle – Every Time

Loadout Presets are a way to save kit or vehicle setups so that you can easily switch between them when going into a Battlefield 4 multiplayer match. With this time-saving feature, you no longer have to edit each slot individually in the Customize screen when you want to change your Loadout. Note that Loadout Presets will only be available on Battlelog in Battlefield 4, and not be reflected in-game. You apply Presets to your Loadout, which then follows you in-game when you save it.

For example, those who want quick access to a “field engineer” Preset can create one of these with the MX4, SRAW, Repair Tool, and Mechanic specialization – or any other combination of the player’s choice. If you are more of a combat engineer, you might want to create a preset with the M1014 shotgun, RPG, M2 SLAM, and Offensive specialization – it’s all up to you.

You can have two presets per kit and vehicle, or four if you’re a Battlefield 4 Premium member.

This allows you to quickly switch between setups based off the map or game mode you’re loading into without wasting time going through the Customize screens in-game.

Creating and Managing Loadout Presets

Your Loadout Presets can be accessed through Battlelog as well as its mobile and tablet applications. Simply head to the Loadout section on Battlelog, and hit the Presets button that appears upon hovering over a kit or vehicle. Here you’ll be able to choose to save your existing kit/vehicle Loadout as a new Preset, or load an existing Preset. Additionally, Presets are accessible from a kit or vehicle page, next to the “Save” and “Reset” buttons

You can have 2 Presets per kit and vehicle (or 4 if you’re a Premium user). The Preset you last chose will stay until you apply a new Preset or change your Loadout from Battlelog or in-game and will display the Preset name in the place of the kit or vehicle name.

This allows you to quickly switch between setups based off the map or game mode you’re loading into, without wasting time going through the Customize screens in-game.

Creating and Managing Loadout Presets

Your Loadout Presets can be accessed through Battlelog and its mobile and tablet applications. Simply head to the Loadout menu on Battlelog, and hit the Presets button. Here you’ll be able to choose slots for your presets, and give them names. To apply a preset, simply click a dropdown menu and select a used slot to apply that preset.

You can have 2 presets per kit and vehicle (or 4 if you’re a Premium user). The preset you last chose will stay until you apply a new preset, or change your loadout from Battlelog or in-game.

Loadouts are available on Battlelog as well as on the mobile and tablet applications.

If you head to the Presets Management page, accessible by clicking “Manage” from the Presets dropdown, you’ll get an overview of all the Presets you have created. Here, you can browse through your Presets, delete them, or apply a bunch of them before you save your Loadout.

Rolling out on April 8

The Loadout Presets are rolling out with the Battlelog update on April 8. We will continue to tweak and add functions to the feature, based on your feedback and comments. Don’t hesitate to tell us what you think about the Loadout Presets, and we hope you will enjoy going into battle using the feature!

doesnt seem to be all that helpful, IMO, given that its only select-able via battlelog. just using the example they have of the two engineer kits, sure it might be nice to jump in with a "field engineer kit" but i dont play 1 kit per game. i change it up depending on the game and situation. if i need to change to a combat engineer, i cant select the preset in game and easily swap between the two... unless i'm mis-reading the description above

Keep battlelog open on your phone or tablet and you can use that to swap. Your next spawn will have the new kit.

Sure you may want to switch mid game, but there's plenty of people who run the same setup/map. I'd only switch mid game if a specific need comes up (switching to AA because of a good pilot for example).

Assault with shotgun and launcher is pretty nasty on metro/lockers but I wouldn't run that anywhere else.

woulda been great when I was doing league play since you really only run one setup per class in that

I usually switch between maps. Hopefully they add the presets to the game game itself too. At least the option to select them if not create them.

didnt think if that. i tried battelog on my tablet back at launch and the second screen stuff didnt work and ive not tried it since.

This. im fine creating them in BL, but the option to select them in-game is what i think needs to happen. of course, if the above suggestion works, its a work-around at least.

I dont really see how this will be all that helpful, it only takes a few seconds to change your load outs before respawning in game as it is.

That was epic! How did those guys figure out that you needed at least 10 players around the buoy.

Depends on how much you switch. Just changing weapon, sure. However sometimes I run different perks, different gadgets, different attachments, etc, etc. Biggest swing is CQB engineer vs Driver engineer for me.

Im sure it may save some people some time, but really it doesnt take long even if you changed every piece of equipment you carry. I change my engineer launchers and mines/repair tool, my recon gadgets, and my support mortar/airburst some, but thats about it for me. I havent touched the perks (or paint/camo on anything) since I first unlocked them all. Maybe its because I haven't taken the time to fully understand them but they also seem pretty useless to me. I see stuff light up on the bottom of my screen about them, but really pay them no mind. LOL

I guess Im just not that picky about anything other than my primary weapon and how it's set up.
