Fortunately I haven't seen crashes, but I usually only play for an hour or so at a time, so I might just avoid leaks that way. Certainly not getting any of this crash on launch stuff.

Still getting kill trades constantly, it seems like there was a short window where everything was right. I think after they made the server tick rate increase, then they released DT, broke it, "fixed" it again, but I didn't notice a change in this last fix.

Yeah, its just ridiculous. I'm losing interest in gaming in general. BF4 is all I play and if this franchise goes to crap, then I'm done. Its not a sad thing to be done, but I'll just be done.

So I started using a silencer and I have to say I really like it. While I'm still a lousy shot and have poor reaction times, having the element of surprise a little more definitely seems to help. I had some quite good rounds last night after just recently switching to it and getting used to it.

Has the netcode on the servers been improved as of recently?I quit playing a bit back cause more servers then not seem to have gotten worst.

Sucks i and others have experienced so many issues with this game, i have more frustration then fun with it and that shouldn't be the case but it is.

Odd, Ive been running BF4 with SLI since day one with no issue.

Mine only started recently. It may actually be a power supply heat issue the reason I reboot like I am. I had my fan set on hybrid rather than normal. It used to not be an issue, but maybe hybrid mode is not functioning right and the fan is not coming on like it is supposed to and the psu is tripping due to heat.

I've just had so many issues with the game, I figured this was just another...but hopefully that is all it is.

The weapons are all apparently super weak for me (5 shots confirmed in neck but only 50 damage?) but everyone else 1-hit kills with them (I am like level 5).

I can't see anyone anywhere on the map but they can see and kill me. Somehow DICE made the visual quality of the game look worse than BF3.

I am more disappointed in this game now than at launch. At least at launch weapons and stuff worked fine, except for the rubber banding. Now it is incredibly unbalanced and not fun.

You're now mostly playing vs hardcore players who know the game inside and out vs everyone being new on release. Expect to get your ass handed to you for awhile.

I cannot stand the fast movement speeds that they've added. Guys instantly move at warp speed to cover as soon you start shooting at them from long range. Then I was fighting in the lower levels of Zavod last night and it was like everyone was the Flash, can't even track someone while they're sprinting in close quarters. If you could still just knife people without the stupid animation I do believe a banzai charge would be the most effective method in these situations.

They did, hence the 40-60 fps muzzle velocity bumps that many weapons received. But it didn't feel that much different than before other than now I'm randomly getting "one shot" on my end before I even see the hit notification warnings on my screen. And then my kill cam will show a guy coming out from a corner or behind cover.

Honestly, I think I've seen maybe 4 sketchy players in my time playing BF4.

I've also killed people in some pretty bs ways myself by getting really lucky on a random suppressing shot when they crossed through a hole in some rubble or across the alleyway I was shooting down and took my random rounds to the face.

BF is a game you have to either stick with because you can see yourself getting better incrementally and are having fun at, or you don't and you stop. I can't do CoD anymore because it's too twitch based and the TTK is so low. BF I can be a mediocre trooper and still support my team providing anti-vehicle or medic boxes or ammo.

I also get the joy of learning to fly a helo (10 hours+ now and I'm still bad at it but at least I don't run into trees and I can almost hit what I'm aiming at with the little bird mini guns) and moving people around a map.

If you're getting wrecked as ground, try using a vehicle for a bit. Otherwise, commit to knowing that you're just not adapted to the game yet if you want to stick with it and you will get better. Or at least know where you should be running to keep yourself exposed to the least amount of flanking (I'm looking at you D flag on Zavod, I don't like capturing this point).

Sadly, the version in the fall patch (that made it) - was the very first incarnation, which does NOT show all the server damage ticks separately - which leads to rather huge discrepancies between client/server counters.

So the tool isn't useful, yet... In fact it's stupid to release this info since it'll just induce extra whining (not that some level isn't valid).

I haven't played in 4 months. I just got a 970. I just have vanilla with china rising exp pack. How are the other packs? I can't find that many servers for vanilla. I need to spend $40 to get all expansions? Is it worth getting?

Really tough call, especially at that price. You might not get $40 worth out of it this late in the game.

The game is good, but as you can read from the thread, still buggy.

DT xpack is good has a couple good maps, other map packs are meh.

Honestly, I think I've seen maybe 4 sketchy players in my time playing BF4.

They're out there. When we're on our clan server we try to spectate people with fishy looking games. Usually nothing super out of the ordinary, but a few too many long range LMG shots, etc. Typically they drop or start sucking the instant someone is watching. The descent hack programs have a spectator warning. That's why its so hard to get real proof.

The thing that really sets off alarm bells is when I see really low rank accounts doing pretty well. Last night there where two people on the server under rank 10 who while they weren't even 1.0 kdr they had way more kills than average. Either they are very good players who just happened to start playing or they got an account banned for hacking and had to buy another. I wasn't an admin there, but I'd bet money they were using hacks of some kind.

How are the new expansion maps? Worth it? Has the membership premium ever been on sale for less than $40? Looks damn slick on a 970.

I'm sure it's premature to call it fixed, but I uninstalled everything and used DDU to clean up in safe mode and installed 14.9.1 which went well.

When I have been installing 14.7->9->9.1->7->9 I started getting a warning in the installation when it was done.

Anyways, I was able to play for a while in 4k with mantle and it didn't crash once. I'll have to try some more.

I think one of my cards might actually be dying. I'm in the process of nailing it down, but now I'm in single card mode at 1200p and BF4 doesn't crash in dx mode (although I haven't had very many long gaming sessions to be 100% sure yet).

I am back on 14.9.1. 1200p (single card) is more stable from the little bit I've seen, just as I remembered (although I always used crossfire), unless it's less demanding on my possibly dying card. Maybe there are memory leaks or huge bugs but they affect you faster at higher resolutions too.

It's strange, in Europe there are more vanilla than DLC servers.
But why do you need to spend $40? Wait for a sale, or get it on Mexican Origin or something.

Most of the DLC maps are pretty good. Ive seen Premium on sale for $20 several times.

Been playing around with the nvidia DSR stuff and i have come to love how many options BF4 has for hud adjustments. BF3 and its hud seem to be stuck at one non adjustable size and the higher your resolution the smaller it gets while BF4 has a bizillion adjustments.:thumbsup:

Pretty new to this website- playing on and off since BF4 came out- hits often fail to register- especially if your up close to the guy. Overall- I think its gotten a bit better. Less hacks and generally less people being complete jerks overall. NO question some hacking, aimbots, etc. - mostly offensive- but I think some defensive as well- Have put a full clip of a assault gun at 10 feet in a guys back with blood spraying all over only to have him turn around and one shot kill me. But , I think those are few and far between. I especially love getting killed by a guy who has zero health. The biggest thing that is bad is how many hits it takes to destroy boats /tanks - like 5 RPG hits. LOL- I don't think a boat should be as tough as a tank for crying out loud.
