Tell me you AT LEAST read through the first 2500 messages? Why should we help you if you're not going to put forth any effort?
OK, OK.
IIRC, in BF1942, the Allies were always blue tags, and the axis were red tags. You you had to pay attention to what color you were and shoot the other color. Since BF2, no matter what side you are on, you always see your team as blue tags, and red tags are always the enemy. Green tags means that person is in your squad. These colors are used in the icons you see over players heads, and in the minimap.
Class gadgets are in your weapon slots, directly accessible from the 3 and 4 keys. For instance, if you are a medic and have them unlocked, the defibrillators will come up if you hit 3 (revive dead teammates), and a Health Pack will come up if you hit 4 (heal wounded teammates).
If you have enough previous Battlefield games registered on the Battlefield veterans site (two?), the basic class gadgets should already be unlocked for you from the beginning (if they have worked out all the bugs!). Otherwise, you will unlock the class gadgets by playing the class.
On the server list, there is a drop down menu icon to the immediate right of the server name. Add Favorite is an option there. Often, if you try to add a favorite from the full server list, it just sits there clocking and doesn't add the favorite. If you use the server name filter (above the filter checkboxes) to shorten the number of servers on the list (ie, put [ATOT] there), it should work very quickly.

Also, reviewing the OP ("the FAQ") might be beneficial.
That's all I have time for now...
