No, it's not accurate. Which is astounding, as it's something a first-year CompSci student could accomplish and Dice managed to fuck it up and have been unable to solve it through the course of a long beta period and several client patches. The incompetence at the company is something to behold, which is puzzling because the technology in the game is top notch.

My theory is they have maybe half a dozen rock star programmers at the company who do excellent work on the game engines, and leave peripheral (yet still vitally important) work to the interns. This explains the horrid UI, buggy networking and overall unfinished feel of the game.

In all fairness it seems almost every game company screws up the basics from title to title even if they got it right the first time. It's really mind boggling in a digital age that these companies don't reuse their own code library and possibly tweak it. Henry Ford invented the assembly line back in the 1900s and he wouldn't be caught dead going back to life without the line. Fast forward 110 years and these guys trip over their own accomplishments.

What about the people that go around reviving players simply for the points?

And, as someone already pointed out; if you are playing conquest or on the attacking team in rush, every time you die your team looses a point and gets closer to defeat. If there is some douche running around reviving people when its clear they are just going to die again just so he can get more points, you hurt your team.

yes, months...if it was 6 months down the road there wouldn't be an issue, but its less than a month after release and you can get it that cheap? that's ridiculous.

to be fair though, the game is $40 without the coupon code. I'm not sure the public is even supposed to be aware of the coupon code.

but it's video games/electronics and they always drop in price quickly and yes it's a special coupon

Um, no. Video games never drop more than 50% just under four weeks after release. Hell, even a $10 drop after that short of a time frame is suprising.

I don't really care but to see a game on sale at more than 50% off four weeks after release is a bit annoying.

It's funny in the older Star Trek online thread everyone was screaming that a game that is less then a month old was on sale for around $20 less and you got an extra 30 days. All the STO haters were saying it's cause the game sucks, PC games never go on sale so soon after release and yet look what we have here.

No, all server browsing is handled through BC2.
