It was bad last night, some dudes were just totally raping us at spawn, I just played again and did way better, it was some map with a bunch of buildings and a pit in the middle kind of, don't know the maps well yet.

I'm gonna keep trying it, but it was more frustrating than any COD game I've played, cause it was just.. over and over... in the exact same spot.

Still having bad connection problems tho, so will put it off for now.

BF2 was bad when it came to spawn camping. I haven't had any problems with it in the BETA or the retail.

Anyone have issues with extremely slow map loading? I have friends with appreciably slower computers who load the maps in half the time I do.

It seems ATI cards have issues with load times. Not excessively long but longer than their NV counterparts.

I just played Port Valdez, can someone tell me why DICE decided to do away with the "out of bounds" markers when it came to each sides home base. In the BETA you couldn't get half way up the hill if you were the defenders but in the retail we had the defenders right up in our base. I really liked that about the BETA I thought for sure it would be in the final cut.

The time it happened bad, it was Conquest, I don't think they cared about "winning" only about killing us.

Are you planning on setting any other up as admins to help police the server?


One thing I learned today is when an admin writes something to all it appears in that big flashing text like when it tells you to move up. No ones going to miss that.

Ah - finally got a chance to sit down and play for a while. No crashes for 2 hours straight. Course when it did happen it was during my best engineer game. Just sat behind a tank the whole time repairing it and **BAM** with 2 tickets left in the round CTD

Welp... installed yesterday. Played on a few servers yesterday, then some single player today.

Now I can't connect to 95% of servers, and anything I eventually can connect to I have EXTREME lag issues. Move 5ft, get yanked back 5 ft type of bullshit. I frankly don't care if this is the 2nd day the game has been out, I paid $50 for a completely unpolished piece of shit game at this point.

Not to mention I'm still getting the occasional CTD.

It shows the server has room but when I click join the box comes up like its going to connect but then goes away and i'm back at the server browser with no message of why it didn't connect.

NONE of the servers show a ping in the browser for me. Anything that manages to connect generally is a west server (I'm east) with somehow a 300 ping. I was able to connect to the ATOT server and even though I ping 89-90 from the command line, I was ping 250-300 there in game.

How do you check your ping when in the game? I bookmarked a server in Seattle and get a ping of 64 and i'm in NY. It seems like the more I go on the server browser the more servers don't have pings. I don't get it.

I believe it's the second column from the right on the scoreboard. Can't say for certain, because the column titles all jumble together.

It's not. The real ping shows on my G15 display, dunno where it shows in game. G15 shows 50s yet that column shows 200+ and no way is it that high on this server.

I looked back a couple pages to figure out how to get on and was on there for awhile.

I play as Gevo, and it was a much better experience than the other servers I was on, and way better ping.

Except for the guy who was running around RPGing me everywhere.

This seems to be similar to BF2. I loved BF2 so damn much but god it was buggy as hell. this is fun as hell as well but damn buggy. You're lucky to even play the damn thing.
