I'm halfway through lvl 8 right now. My friends are all like 17, 18, 15.

i'm barely at 4, due to all the connection issues ive been having over here....ive played the single player through twice now =\

Yea, no...

It was bad last night, some dudes were just totally raping us at spawn, I just played again and did way better, it was some map with a bunch of buildings and a pit in the middle kind of, don't know the maps well yet.

I'm gonna keep trying it, but it was more frustrating than any COD game I've played, cause it was just.. over and over... in the exact same spot.

Still having bad connection problems tho, so will put it off for now.

Yeah, I've seen spawn camping happen a few times in conquest on the snowy map. If the US team manages to take all of the points, they can bottle neck the other team in their spawn and steal their APC. The Russian spawn is small and doesn't have any cover besides one house. It only happens in really lopsided game though.

I want to buy this game but all the problems you guys are having is really turning me off. I also really hated BF2 with a passion and I'm afraid this is just more of the same.

If you hated BF2 then this may not be your game. BF2 is my favorite game of all time.

I'm having a hard time deciding between the GOL with regular scope and the SV-98 with the 4x scope...I love both, but I don't see an advantage with the GOL besides the simple scope for some...I love the sound of the SV-98.

Is there way to join a server when you only know the IP address? You could with BF2 but I don't see a way to do it here.

Does anyone know if the DX10 performance issues are common? I'm just kind of confused as to why DX10 has good framerate but just horrible stutter.

And condolences to the people with connection issues, I guess I'm just lucky.

I jumped in it tonight for about an hour. Clan guys would come in, which made it quite difficult. Mostly because they would team up well. Still, the server seemed stable. No idea what my ping was but it felt fine.

i don't have the game but a "ping" to Jschmuck2's server gets me an average of 27ms in phx, az, even full. just to give you guys info.

also, anybody know how well this game does w/ crossfire?

When Im in a game, its awesome. When im trying to get in a game, i want to kill someone.

Even with all of that, im level 19, finished the assault class, and almost done with the medic class.

Game runs awesome on my system too.

1900x1200, All high, 8xAA, 16xAF, HBAO off. 75+ Fps

Just got done with a few rounds in ATOT. Worked well, no server drops, although my team lost every game, oh well. Jschmuck2 was on the other team, so I can't say whether he's talking to himself, LOL.

I figured out how to give orders, thanks to tips here, but I wonder if you could get into a duel with other squad members if you give conflicting orders, since there's no one squad leader.

Also, my stats still show up as zeroed out on the main page, but I had my upgrades in the game, go figure.

How do you set it to run in dx9? I want to compare performance from dx9 - dx11.

To force a specific DirectX version, go to your settings.ini in My Documents\BFBC2. Look for "DxVersion=Auto" and change it to the setting you prefer based on the list below.

DxVersion=10
DxVersion=9

Yup, although, I have to admit, I'm pretty terrible at this game.

I got in and did a few games. A couple I did pretty well, but mostly I sucked it up a lot. I've got to get back into the feel of PC FPS.

Oh, and I've noticed I only seem to die to vehicles, LMGs, and snipers... Does anyone besides me not use those?
