this is one of the things i hated about BF2. you can unload a full mag into a guy and he wouldn't die, but he turns around and pops 2 shots off and kills you instantly

I'm going to try really hard to do what Gully recommend though, and shoot one click at a time because sometime I do go all Rambo on someone.

It also helps if you have a red dot sight, accuracy seems to improve dramtically. However, for now the best way is to shoot in short bursts. Unless you are really close and then I just go full auto. Kind of interesting when you realize that you can't select a firing mode in this game, just full auto.

Also, remember that this game is using projectiles so bullets take time to get places. Which also means if you are shooting someone running then you'll have to aim ahead of them so they run into the bullets. Keep the iron sights on them and you'll be shooting behind them until they stop.

In BC2 you need to use bursts, if you go full auto your shots start to have a huge spread on them. I've been playing assault and I can down guys in 1 or 2 bursts usually. Just aim for the mid/upper chest and fire burst after burst until they die. I usually aim upper chest right below their head, I end up getting a lot of headshots this way from my aim kicking up to the guys head. Of course if a guy is standing still just go for the head, the hitbox for headshots seems to work pretty well in this game.

Also if you're at range don't try to shoot guys without ADS, but if you're close DS is kind of a waste of time. I just aim for the middle of the guys body and unload if I'm close (while strafing around of course).

I am liking this game a lot. The only thing I dislike is the maps are a little large and can, after some good tank battles, be lacking in cover.

I enjoy the tanks, especially when I'm the one driving. It isn't too hard to take them out though, as I roll engineer.

If there a way to unlock attachments for a gun? I would like to mess around with some of them, but I've no idea how to.

And when it comes to the Medic class (my favorite), you really have to know how to fire your LMGs. Small 2 or 3 round bursts at a time can decimate an enemy. Just don't kneel down in open territory. Try to find cover.

Another thing I do as a medic is when I am undercover I always try to throw down a medpack before I start shooting. If I end up in a 1v1 (or whatever) shooting match it will heal me as I shoot him. This has saved my life more than once

Yes, just keep playing and you will unlock different sights, enhanced bullets, etc. Check the spreadsheet in the OP for options.

There are 10 multiplayer maps so far, but some are only available if you play a certain game mode (Conquest, Rush, etc.)

Yes, the ranking system is similar to BF2. Stats are maintained by EA.

Any tips for taking down infantry as infantry from a distance? I swear I can unload a clip at someone's head and not even touch them.

Well obviously from a distance it's harder. There's bullet drop as well. You're probably not aiming correctly.

Is there any graphical difference in the Full version from the beta one? Can somone give me a graphical benchmark on a 5870? I had heard folks were limited to getting full graphics in the beta version. Has it changed and does the game look better? Can somone post screenshots at 1920x1080 resolutions?

Also, what's the maximum player limit on a server?

Best close in weapon M1911. Was playing Recon last night and I capped a flag then waited in a building for the other team to show up. Killed 3 guys with one clip. 1st 2 kills were LMAO. 2 medics with PKMs come around the building together, they were literally on top of each other. i start unloading and 3 or 4 shots and they are both in a heap at my feet. Run around the corner smack into another guy and finish him off with the rest of the clip. I think I killed 7 or 8 guys with just the M1911 pistol.

I just went to the Battlefield Veterans site to unlock the M1, I put in my serial number for both BF1942 and BF: Vietnam and it says my serials have already been used. Both games were bought new and i've never given out the #'s. Any idea if I can work around this?

It's not working right now, apparently, they're working on fixing it.

Note: The CD Key games won't work and 1943 (still) doesn't detect all the time. We are working on those two items.

5870 should be great as long as its not waaaaaaay ahead of the CPU

I can run full everything on my 4850x2 at 1920x1200 and do upper 30's to lower 40's all the time with my q9550 at stock, I oc'd it to toy around but forgot to turn fraps on

To me it doesn't look much better than the beta. I was expecting more.
