this pisses me off in MW2 too (and other FPS games with sniper rifles). when the entire fucking enemy team is sniping, you are pretty much fucked. I think it's worse here though because its 100x more difficult to locate a sniper and to counter-snipe, especially like Trident mentions when you don't have any unlocks.

Also, why the hell am I getting shotguns that any class can use instead of class specific weapons?

I can't connect to the ea servers to get a list of servers. can't even find the ATOT server in my favorites.

You know, you don't have to snipe as recon. IMO, recon is more useful to the team with a shotgun, c4 and sensor.

Exactly. On offense a lot of the time I'll got with the saiga 20k and c4, while on defense I can hang back, use the m24, and rain mortars down.

Pointless when all I am trying to do is be an anti-spawn-sniper and anti-rape-sniper. It's nearly impossible to kill these guys when there are 6 snipers all in one spot and you have 0 upgrades for recon class....

So, I was 13:1 and destroying with my AUG and I got booted from the server. Lol.

Hopefully, they can release server mods where you can limit the amount of each class. A team full of snipers is more annoying than a team full of noob spraying with LMGs.

Go in to the controls for "on foot", and map all the joystick controls (third column) to the same button on your joystick (whatever you would use for a Fire button). Start at the bottom. This will effectively wipe out all the joystick settings except the top one, which is for "fire".

Well, I got it going. What I did was I went into the settings and even though I did not bind any keys (at least not yet) and selected "Default" and tried it then and it worked.

Although, at first I thought something was wrong still as you start off with just a knife in your hand and to use it you have to use the MMB and not the LMB so that had me scratching my head for a little while

I think an easy fix for too many snipers is to limit how many snipers there can be on each team. Say, 3 or 4 snipers per team and no more. I don't see why this can't or shouldn't be implemented in the next patch for example.

That will allow you to easily get unlocks for recon to use in regular game play. I think overall hardcore is better, it is somewhat more difficult for say medic to level up, but I enjoy the pace more, and no kill cam is so much better

For sniping though you don't really need any upgrades I have all but the last rifle, and always find myself using the m24. (of course I do use the 12x scope & spotter, but even before I had that I was using m24 w/o 12x) Its the highest damage besides the M95.

I never really have a problem counter sniping or sniping, you just need to find better cover than they have, and that toggle crouch script helps a ton.

I've been hopping in and out of the ATOT server, but I don't really like kill cam at all.

Just hope they fix the server browser so I can see pings, and being able to search by specific server settings would be really nice.

I was using one for auto hotkey that just did crouch - someone linked it here, but now I'm trying out this here which does toggle crouch & hold/release for iron sights

the unlock code is for the 3 vehicle weapon unlocks, tracer dart, M1A1 SMG, and M1911 Pistol

M1 Garand is for BF Veterans (not sure what level)

ammo/med/repair/motion sensor need to be unlocked which doesn't take long at all

also, wish the stats page had more detail and could break down stats for different game types. K/D ratio is important for Squad Rush/DM, but Points Per Minute is a much better measure of contribution in Rush and Conquest. the Skill Level stat is also useless since I'm pretty sure it correlates with K/D ratio.

Are the bullets on the M95 so big that they get headshots a lot easier? Reason being, the first time I used it, I got 4 headshots instantly and 1 bodyshot kill from five feet away (with the first clip I ever shot out of it). I then repeatedly got headshots with it...I mean, I'm used to headshots, but this would seem to get them even if I wasn't distinctly aiming at it.

It probably has a flatter trajectory so the bullet always hits closer to the center of the crosshairs.

I know with the other rifles they have a pretty big drop off at ranges so its harder to get headshots, because you risk missing completely if you aim for the head when factoring falloff.

This game gets really annoying REALLY fast. I keep dying and dying and dying and dying. I can't take screenshots in game either because the stupid thing just makes it white.

Consistently on the AT server I am getting #1 on my team and MVP, but it's just stupidly annoying game. It's fucking Modern Warfare but with shittier guns AND UNLIMITED FUCKING AMMO. OMFG... You just sit next to an ammo pack and a health pack... Unload your noob tube and grenades... Sit and wait... Do it again. You get tons of kills, you get tons of points, and you don't even have to worry if you do it from far.

Snipers are extremely annoying. You can't compete with them because the people who are consistently snipers have ALL the upgrades and when I choose the recon class I have how many upgrades? Oh yeah, none.... so now I can't see them because they have the 12x sight and all this shit that gives them an extreme hand up over me. They're shooting me from like a mile away and are hiding in this tiny spot between rocks and it's just perfect... it requires perfect aim the first time you shoot otherwise they already got you...

It's just stupid pointless and mind numbing combat. Spawn, run and gun, die... repeat.

If this game maybe had a longer respawn time people would actually try to put value on their lives but they just do extreme shit and then die... 3 seconds later, come back and try again.

I've not lived more than a couple minutes in this game I think. You just die to anything and everything and then try to get revenge. It's modern warfare with a new skin. No doubt.

I mean, you can level up your recon skills using other methods and then snipe. Anyways, another sniper is another team member not doing the objective. From my experience, the team with more snipers is the team that loses, even if they have a better average k/d.

What? I'm almost always #1 when I play on ATOT... Consistent objective scorer and a very high KD ratio. Usually 5+... So, son... I is just mad that this game lags like a mofo and sucks.

My story:
- Installed
- Logged in, EA Online remembered my soldiers, I pick one
- I see my friends from the beta are still there, and 3 new friend requests
- Click on a friend request, CTD
- Cannot connect to EA Online
- Return a couple hours later, manually download BC2 update for PB
- No further connection issues, but.....

I'm really upset that the veteran unlocks aren't all working for me. I entered my veteran status before the beta and had the teamwork items the whole time in the beta. Now, all the teamwork items (and all the veteran guns, including the M1) show as available in the Weapons & Gadgets menu screen (where you can see your stats with each weapon), but in kit selection during a round, I have no gadgets at all (no health box, no defib, no ammo box, no motion sensors) but I can still select the M1A1 & 1911 (but not the M1). I'm not the world's best headshot-in-a-millisecond shooter, so running around as a medic with no health box, and as assault with no ammo box, I feel bloody useless. These are things that make the BF series fun for me, and they're not there. Boooo.
