there's a scoreboard. you just have to click the tab for it since it defaults to "Personal Stats" when a round ends.

Anyone else getting disconnects or crashes this evening? I haven't before the latest patch, except maybe once or twice, but I can't even play 10 minutes tonight without a lock-up or crash to desktop. I got pissed and fired up Modern Warfare 2 instead, and quit it about 5 minutes later. Bad Company 2 is heads and shoulders above that game, at least for me (when it works).

EDIT: By the way, is there a time when the ATOT BC2 server is up? Whenever I search for "[atot]" or "atot" I do not get any results.

It was briefly today because of a mass EA Pants Shitting. All is well now and has been for 8 hours or so.

I'm taking this game back tomrrow morning TBH, on the grounds that it's clearly a defective product. What a shame too, because the odd time the game works it's a lot of fun.

They answered your question but yes, it's up so long as EA will let it stay up.

There are over 12k-13k servers now that are all the same except for player count. Our servers pretty much got "diluted" into oblivion.

Your processor is certainly your bottleneck (assuming your sig is up to date). As has been said before, this game is very CPU intensive. A quad core is necessary if you want to get the most out of your GPU. That said, I have no idea what the 4890 is capable of without a CPU bottleneck, so it might be futile to replace one and not the other.

Yes - sorry to say but you aren't going to get much out of that CPU:

Considering that it is much slower than the X2 550 they bench here at 40fps with a similar graphics card, it's a total bottleneck - even switching to medium settings won't improve gameplay.

comment about CPUs.. i went from a dual-core to a quad-core over the week and the difference is mind boggling. overclocked a 2.66 q9400 to 3.4 and haven't looked back. also running a gtx 260. i run medium/high settings 1920 res and 8x/4x aa/af. turned shadows to low, that's a huge performance boost. the game is beautiful and runs an avg of 55fps. can't stand anything lower than 40.

Oh, can someone explain EXACTLY how the hellfire on the choppers works? Dumb-firing doesn't seem to achieve anything and firing toward a tracer dart (be it from an engi or your copilot) is inconsistent at best. I've never noticed any visual queues that a lock is ever attained either. It would be nice to know, because that missile is a beast and one-shots tanks. =/

Came across a post at BF2S on this topic:

As a pilot with alternate fire, you do not have to lock onto the tracer as with an RPG or Gustav. However, you can't just shoot your tow missile willy nilly. Your cursor has to be over or near the red box and you can fire away, the missile will track to it. Even just sweeping/dragging over the box, you can pull off a shot and it'll track, so there's no need to hold it on the box to guide it either.

I don't think it does. It would be nice if it did - then I could ask the medic/assault guy to put down a health pack/ammo pack instead of following them around shooting them and hoping they get the idea

VOIP is always on, but rarely working. Source

Yes, we know.

FYI:
VOIP is not getting bandwidth throttled away. There is no setting to disable VOIP on the server.
The symptoms are as if the VOIP can get "out of sync" on the server. Once VOIP gets messed up, it's gone for everyone on the server until it gets restarted I think.

That's more verbiage then I've seen in all 40 or so BC2 games I've played so far

I think the only time I've seen someone 'talk' is when I stole some guys tank as he got out to repair it. Boy was he mad! lol
