I'm sure it's just me, but does anybody else feel they play better on the hardcore servers? I just feel like I get raped when I'm on a non-hardcore server.

Most favorite shot ever happened yesterday: I sniped someone from long range over the top of a hill who was crouching (couldn't see him, but knew he was there from a moment earlier)... all thanks to bullet drop.

It was like the miracle heave at the end of a basketball game... while blindfolded and backwards.

I only play Recon in hardcore. Otherwise another sniper will drop you in 1 shot

I only play on hardcore. I cannot stand regular servers now with their 100 shots to kill someone.

Nope.

On hardcore I die a lot more. On a non-HC server, if I'm getting shot, I have the chance to respond... not so on a HC server.

The damage in HC doesn't seem any worse than running into an M60 with magnum ammo.

I was playing as a tankhunting Bonzai Recon last night. Not getting points when you're dead sucks. I took out 3 M3A3's in one round, at least triple kills on all of them, and wound up with 110 points for the whole round. One of them ended up being a suicide, but the other two I got M60'd just as I hit the trigger.

I feel the same way, Id have no problem playing with the increased damage of HC but I dont want to lose all the other features.

I wish there was a way to filter out HC servers when doing a search.

Some thoughts after playing for a couple days now:

1) Hit detection/damage can be very bizarre at times. I don't know if it's because I'm a low level player right now and don't have access to the specializations, but it's just odd. Today while playing I popped up from behind a rock and shot someone in the face with my pistol 5 times. There was no lag, my computer handles the game fine, I DEFINITELY shot him in the face 5 times. He pulls up his assault rifle and kills me with one burst. The server showed me after, he still had 24% health left. Again, 5 shots to the face, point blank, no argument about if I hit him or not. Seriously?

2) This kind of goes with #1, but 40MM grenade hit detection appears very bizarre in this game. I had a stand off with an opponent, we both launched at each other, hit each other, only I died, he still had something like 60% life left. Not arguing that I should've died, but if I did, then he DEFINITELY should have.

3) REALLY tired of having to spend 15-20 rounds when I come up behind a sniper and begin shooting into the back of his skull execution style. (this is with the XM8 P I'm using). How is that not a one shot kill??

4) Some of the maps where they're going for the 'dusty' effect, they REALLY overdid it, most of us are running around blind on the level with the stranded ship.

Check your in-game ping. It's probably about 200 (or above)... you have described what happens to me when my ping is near those levels.

Check your in-game ping. It's probably about 200 (or above)... you have described what happens to me when my ping is near those levels.

In-game ping is not accurate. Some people say that it's exactly double actual ping, but in my experience it's actually higher than that.

Yeah I'm getting sick of skulking through bushes for 3 minutes, coming up behind someone, unloading a clip into their head and neck, and then having to reload while they turn around and waste me. NOT cool

Unlocked the AN-94 and I'm finally consistently getting above a 1:1 K ratio. Using accuracy spec and 4x zoom scope. Mosty use the 40mm nade launcher as my main and switch to the gun if the grenade misses.

I'm on the stat for a smoke grenade death, lol. Was on isla innocents, someone shot a smokey at me and boom right up the ass it went! I wasn't even mad I died from a smoke grenade, it was just kinda funny.

I would not play on any server that has a scoreboard latency of >150

I'd consider a very good scoreboard latency to be 120-130 and a scoreboard latency of <120 to be incredibly good.

there has been speculation that servers have difficulty keeping up with the action on 32 player servers resulting in either packet loss or inconsistency in hit registration. based off what I've experienced in BC2, I'm inclined to believe that speculation.

This, absolutely. Not having the minimap & spotting changes it from being a game that is "fun", to being a realistic military-action simulator that is "not fun".

Wow, on the M60 & knife numbers. Gotta get that M60 unlocked before they nerf... er... "rebalance" it. 4000 medic points to go! To bad I'm AFK with my PC torn apart to upgrade from C2Duo/GTX260/WinXP/2GB to C2Quad/5850/Win7/6GB. Whew! Fedex says the 5850 is coming tomorrow so with any luck I'll be playing again tomorrow night. I'll be ready for a late night and very little sleep!

Hmm... so much for "90% of my deaths are from snipers", with sniper rifles coming in at #s 5, 10, 15, 27, 40, and 41. Methinks the folks who die too often from sniper rifles are playing HC against folks who realize that sniper rifle kills on HC are easier than sniper rifle kills on Normal.

Funny that you can kill with the 40mm Smoke grenades! And I'll proudly add that I have 2 kills by the second-least-used item: defib!

I was smoke grenaded once. I think it hit me in the head. I've killed a few with the defib, but didn't know that impact wrenches are fatal.
